(p. 812) porugu , పొరువు, పొర్గు or పొర్వు porugu. [Tel.] n. A side. ప్రక్క. The part or side adjoining the next house, ఇరుగునకుప్రక. The neighbourhood or vicinity. Nearness, సమీపము. The side opposite to one's house, తన యింటికి ఎదుటిభాగము నీపొరుగుననున్నవారు your neighbours. H. ii. 114. పొరుగిల్లు the next house. ఇరుగుపొరుగు on this side and on that. adj. Neighbouring, fronting. పొరుగింటివాడు or పొరుగువాడు a next door neighbour. మేము ఇరుగు పొరుగుననుండేవారము we live in each other's neighbourhood, we are neighbours. See. ఇరుగు.

(p. 1295) sannidhānamu or సన్నిధి sanni-dhānamu. [Skt.] n. Proximity, nearness, vicinity, presence. నికటము, సమీపము. తమ సన్నిధిలో మనవిచేసుకొన్నాను I have informed your honor of this అది తమ సన్నిధానములోనే ఉన్నది it is near your hands. తమ సన్నిధానవర్తులు those who are in your presence, i.e., your servants.

(p. 1296) sannivēśamu sān-ni-veṣamu. [Skt.] n. An open place, either in a town or its vicinity. పట్టణాదిపశ్చాద్భూమి. The backyard of a house, గృహాదుల వెనుక స్థలము.

(p. 1323) sānnidhyamu sānnidhyamu. [Skt. from సన్నిధి.] n. Nearness, vicinity, proximity, సామీప్యము.
