Heat, sunshine, glare, radiance, ఎండయెక్కినది the sun is high. చిరుఎండ the soft heat of the morning or evening; రేయెండ moonshine. వాడు వచ్చినప్పుడు నిండా యెండయెక్కినది it was late in the day when he arrived. ఎండకాచునప్పుడు when it is hot. నీకు ఎండ తగిలినది, or, నీ ముఖమునకు ఎండతగిలినది you look hot or fatigued, ఎండకన్నెరుగనివాడు one whose 'eye knows not the sunbeam,' i.e., who lives in the shade. ఎండకాలము eṇḍa-kālamu. n. The hot weather. ఎండగట్టు eṇḍa-gaṭṭu. v. t. To tie up (as a cloth) in the sun to dry. ఎండిపోవు. ఎండదెబ్బ eṇḍa-gāli. n. A burning wind. ఎండగోట్టు eṇḍa-goṭṭu. v. i. I am much grieved. ఈ మాట వింటే వానికి ఒళ్లు మండదా if he hears of this, will he not be in a fury? మండునెల manḍu-nela. n. A hot month, the hot weather వసంతఋతువు. మండించు manḍinṭsu. v. n. To provoke irritate, stir up.

A tender fruit that falls down from a tree through the heat of the weather. వడముడి vaḍa-muḍi. n. One who makes it hot for his enemies, శత్రువులకు తాపమును గలుగజేయువాడు. A Telugu name of Bhīma, one of the heroes of the Pāndu race. భీముడు. 'క కడువడి ౛నియంతంతంబుడమిబడినకరులగములు పొరలుట కతనన్ వడముడియడచినతెరువేర్పడగని వేవేగతేరు పరపెం గదియున్.' M. VI. ii. 375.
