(p. 435) cēpu chēpu. [Tel.] v. n. To let the milk flow, to give forth, emit (as a breast does milk). ఎగచేపు to withhold the milk, or keep it from flowing, as a cow does unless her calf is near her. 'కరము సంతసిల్లికుమారుం, గనిచున్నులుచేపిముదంబున.' (M. I. v. 37.) at the sight of her child the milk sprang from her breast with affection. ఆవు పాలుచేపలేదు the cow withheld her milk. చేపాకు a plant the leaves of which are given to cows to make them give milk freely. చేపు or చేపుడు n. A gush or spirt, as of milk. చేపుట.

(p. 883) biga or బిగియ biga. [Tel.] adv. Tightly. బిగతొక్కు biga-tokku. v. a. To tread in or tread down tight. బిగపట్టు or బిగబట్టు biga-pattu. v. a. & n. To stop, to withhold, keep back, check, suspend. ఊపిరి బిగబట్టు to hold the breath in. వాన బిగబట్టినది the rain held off. నా జీవితమును బిగబట్టినాడు he kept back my pay. బిగాది bigādi. adj. Rigidity, austerity, superciliousness. దృఢత్వము, బిగువు. adj. Tight, hard, firm. Rigid, austere, proud, arrogant. బిగిబద్ద a stick that holds any two things tight. బిగించు, బిగియించు, బిగుచు or బిగియజేయు biginṭsu. v. a. To tighten to fasten: to stop, suspend. To be stubborn. అత్తవారింటికి పోనని బిగించుకొనియున్నది she stayed at home refusing to go to her husband's house. బిగింపు bigimpu. n. Rigidity, stiffness. Austerity నీ బిగింవులుపనికిరావు your stiffness will do no good. బిగితము bigitamu. (బిగి+ఇతము.) adj. Firm, దృఢము. బిగిమానము bigi-mānamu. n. Tightness, firmness. Rigidity. Austerity. Superciliousness.
