(p. 19) akāraṇamu a-kāraṇamu. [Skt.] adj. Groundless, causeless. నిర్హేతుకమైన. అకారణముగా without a reason. అకారణోత్పన్నము produced spontaneously. అకారత్ (H. incorrect form of అకారణముగా) without cause నిర్హేతుకముగా, ఊరక.

(p. 55) anutpannamu an-utpannamu. [Skt.] adj. Unborn, unproduced.

(p. 60) annupannu annu-pannu. [Tel.] n. Taxes, &c, the word అన్ను is a mere anuk, పన్ను మొదలైనవి. BD. iv. 1959.

(p. 65) appanamu appanamu. [from Skt. అప్పణము.] n. Offering. అర్పణము, కానుక. Tribute, tax. భాగరీయము, పన్ను 'రాజనీచేత జేయించు రాజనూయ, మప్పుడమరులు నీకిత్రురప్పునములు.' T. v. 167. అప్పనచేయు to offer, to give over the charge of, to hand over. ఒప్పగించు. 'పుత్రులకును తన రాజ్య మెల్లనప్పనచేసి.' భాగ. v.

(p. 74) amāni amānī. [H.] Land in charge of a revenue collector on the part of the government, as distinguished from that which is farmed out. అమానీగ్రామములు villages under the immediate care of a collector. ఆముఠా అమానీ అయిన తరువాత after the land was taken into the collector's own charge. ఆశ్రోత్రియమును అమానీదాఖలు చేసుకొన్న తరువాత after the land held on private tenure was taxed. అమానిభూములు Crown lands, lands that are in the hands of a collector on behalf of Government. అమానీబాజీబాబు sundry farms under a Collector's management. పన్ను లేకుండా మేడిపాలు ఇచ్చే భూమి.

(p. 76) ayamu ayamu. [Skt.] n. Good fortune, a tax, శుభావహకర్మము; పన్ను.

(p. 85) ala or అల్ల ala. [Tel.] adv. There. That. అక్కడ,అ. 'అలపన్నిద్దరు నూరులం౛దును సముద్వల్లీలగావున్న వెగ్గలవుందాపముమాన్పనా.' A. pref. xi. 'విల్లివుత్తూరిలో నల్లవిమ్ణచత్తుడతుల తులసీసుగంథషూల్యంబు.' A. ii. 101.

(p. 102) asimi asimi. [Tel.] n. A bag placed on the back of a bullock to carry things. ఎద్దు మీద వేయు గోనె వలె కుట్టిన సంచి. అసిమి గొల్లెన asimi-gollena. [Tel.] n. A kind of small tent. ఇరుప్రక్కలను వంపుగా శాలువలె నేర్పరిచిన చిన్నగుడారము. 'మునుపుగానేగియసి మిగొల్లెనలుపన్ని' కళా viii.

(p. 112) āḍhyamu āḍhyamu. [Skt.] adj. That which has or possesses. గల. Thus. సంపదాఢ్య possessed of wealth. అమృతాఢ్యకమండలము a cup holding nectar. ఆఢ్యుడు āḍhyudu. n. Owner, possessor. సంపన్నుడు.

(p. 116) āpattu or ఆపద āpattu. [Skt.] n. Calamity, misfortune, adversity. ఆపన్నము āpannamu. Unfortunate, hapless. ఆపన్నుడు āpannuḍu. n. One who is afflicted or distressed. ఆపదను చెందినవాడు

(p. 117) ābkāri , ఆబుకారి, or ఆబ్కారి ābkāri. [H.] n. Abkari, tax on spirituous liquors. కల్లు సారాయిల మీద వేసే పన్ను.

(p. 140) illari illari. [Tel. ఇల్లు+అరి] n. A house tax or hearth tax, quit rent. ఇంటిపన్ను.

(p. 148) umbaḷamu , ఉంబళి or ఉంబళిక umbaḷamu. [Tel.] adj. Free from taxation. ఈనామైన, పన్ను లేని. ఉంబళగ్రామము a village free of rent. జాగీరుగ్రామము.

(p. 155) utpannamu utpannamu. [Skt.] adj. Born. పుట్టిన.

(p. 156) utsahiñcu or ఉత్సాహించు ut-sahinṭsu.[Skt.] v. i. To attempt. యత్నించు. To triumph, to rejoïce. సంతోషించు. ఉత్సాహము ut-sāhamu. n. Perseverance. Alacrity. Glee, eagerness, mettle, spirit, jollity, bloom of beauty. ఉత్సాహపురుషుడు a man of mettle. ఉత్సాహ సంపన్నుడు sanguine, straight forward, mettlesome.
