Cytisus cadjan (Watts.) కందిపప్పు, See పప్పు. కందిపుల్లలు the stalks of the plant used us fuel. ఆమె కాలమునాటి కందివిత్తు she is like an old pigeon pea, i.e., she is as sharp as a needle. కందికంప thatch or straw of this plant. కందిమిడత kandi-midata. n. A locust.

(p. 327) kōti kōti. [Tel.] n. A monkey. తాను చెడ్డ కోతి వనమెల్లచెరిచినది 'one sickly sheep infects the flock.' కోతిపుండు బ్రహ్మరాక్షసి యైనట్లున్నది it is like making' mountains of molchills. కోతికొమ్మంచి kōti-kommanchi. [కోతి+కొమ్మ+అంచు or అనుచు.] n. A certain game. కోతివన్నె kōti-vanne. n. Monkey colour, i.e., brown. కోతిపుల్లలు kōti-pullalu. n. Certain sticks fixed in a loom. మగ్గపుపలకదారములను మీదికి తగిలించే పుల్లలు.

(p. 424) cīpuru chīpuru. [Tel.] n. A broom. చీపురు గడ్డి a kind of grass. Aristida sctacea. (Watts.) చీపురుపుల్లలు the twigs of which a broom is made. చీపురుముండ్లు bits of a broom like burns. చీపురుకట్ట. rubbish.

(p. 771) purikolupu puri-kolupu. v. a. To spur on, move, instigate, incite, stir up, rally. మొనయు, ప్రేరేపించు, ఎచ్చరించు, నూలుకొలుపు, పుల్లలుపెట్టు. పురికొస puri-kosa. n. A large poisonous spider or tarantula. Also, a rough kind of twine. పురిగట్టిన puri-gaṭṭina. part. Strong, vigorous. పురిపెట్టు puri-peṭṭu. v. a. To twine or twist. పురియెక్కించు puri-y-ekkinṭsu. v. a. To incite. పురివిచ్చు puri-vitsṭsu. v. a. To untwist or unravel a thread. v. n. To separate, withdraw, retreat. వేరగు, వీడిపోవు. పురులోము puru-lōmu. (పురులు+ఓము.) v. n. To be enraged, క్షాత్రము మొరయించు.

(p. 775) pulla pulla. [Tel.] n. A small bit or piece of stick. పుల్లలు small pieces of wood for fuel. వారిమీది వ్యాజ్యానికి పొమ్మని నాకు పుల్లలు పెట్టినాడు he goaded me on to quarrel with them. కుట్టుడాకుపుల్లలు pins used in making leaf platters. పానకములో పుల్లువలె అడ్డపడినాడు he came in my way like a twig in a draught of water. ఆ పనికి నీవు పుల్లలు వేయకు do not throw obstacles in its way.

(p. 853) prōlu prōlu. [Tel.] n. A city. పట్టణము. ప్రోలుగుడుపు or ప్రోల్గుడుపు prōlu-guḍupu. v. a. To provoke, rouse, excite. ప్రేరేచు, పుల్లలుపెట్టు. 'రాజునకెంత వెర్రియుపరాజితమూర్తులు వెల్మవారలా పైజగతిం బ్రసిద్ధమిది భండనభూముల రావువారల వ్యాజముగాగ ప్రోల్గుడిపిరన్న యశంబటుగావునం.' Bobbili. ii. 113. ప్రోలుదిరుగు prōlu-dirugu. v. n. To go in procession about a city. ఊరేగు. In marriage ceremonies it signifies a fictitious procession round the city represented by some objects placed in the house.

(p. 1100) lāka lāka. [Tel.] n. A feather. పక్షియీక. A new shoot from a stalk of corn, &c. ౛ొన్నపైరులాకపెట్టినది the cholam has sent out fresh shoots. లాకకట్టు lāka-kaṭṭu. n. Pinioning the arms. పెడచేతులువిరిచికట్టు. లాకలు lākalu. n. plu. Small pieces of stick, used by weavers. సాలెవాడు పడుగునందుగుచ్చే పుల్లలు.' కారంపుపడుగులు కండెల కప్పెర గోలముల్ లాకలునీలకడవ, గంప, డొల్ల, కళాసంబు, కదురు, చెమికె.' H. ii. 12. లాకకట్ట lāka-kaṭṭu. n. The unfinished warp of a cloth with pieces of wood still stuck in it, లాకలతో చుట్టి యుంచిన పనిముగియని పడుగు.
