(p. 242) kannaḍamu kannaḍamu. [Tel.] n. The Canara or Carnatic; a name including the Telugu and Canarese countries. Canarese language. కన్నడ అక్షరము the Canarese character. కర్ణాటకము. కన్నడికలశము kannaḍi-kalaṣamu. n. The 'blessed light' or holy candle. See ఆరతి. కన్నడి or కన్నడీడు kannaḍi. n. A native of Canarese country. కర్ణాటదేశస్థుడు. Also, a contemner ఉపేక్షించువాడు.

(p. 257) kalaśamu kalaṣamu. [Skt.] n. A vase, flagon, or water pot: కుండ. the gilt ornament on the pinnacle of a pagoda or tower. In palmistry, కలశరేఖలు certain lines in the palm of the hand. A. v. 31. కలశమునిలుపు or కలశముపెట్టు or కలశస్థాపనముచేయు the preliminary rite of solemnly placing a vase. కలశపూజ the adoration paid to that vessel, being the principal rite in all religious celebrations. కలశాబ్ధి kalaṣ-ābdhi n. A bush in a carriage wheel ఇరుసుతగిలించే బండికంటి నడిమిగుబ్బ. కుండగోకరి kunḍa-gōkari. [కుండగోకు+అరి.] n. A cook. వంటవాడు (వల. ద్విపద, 2. భా.) కుండపోగులు Same as కుండలములు. కుండమార్చు kunḍa-mārṭsu. v. t. To exchange one thing for another. ఒకటినిచ్చి మరొకటిని పుచ్చుకొను.
