A sugarcane: చెరకు. ఇనపకట్లతుంట an iron-bound cudgel. మూలతుంటతీరులు short rafters at the corners of a roof. తుంటవిలుకాడు Manmadha, whose bow is made of the sugar cane. తుంటనరికిన చిరువేరు Dye-root cut off from the plant. adj. (p. 818) pōḍu pōḍu. [Tel.] n. A down, a piece of scrub, jungle covered with bushes, land cleared from jungle for the purpose of cultivation, as కొండపోళ్లు. పోడుకొట్టు to clear away brushwood, to remove underwood, చేసికొరకు చెట్లునరికివేయు. చిరివేరుపోళ్లు Chayroot grounds, చాయవేళ్లు పైరగుభూమి.

(p. 867) bayakāḍu baya-kādu. [Tel. బయలు+కాడు.] n. A musician, గాయకుడు, గానవిద్యోపాధ్యాయుడు. A maternal uncle. తల్లితోడబుట్టినవాటు. మేనరికము mēna-rikamu. n. The relationship that exists between a man and his father's sister's or his mother's brother's family, మేనత్తకూతురు మేనమామ కొడుకులుగా నుండడము. మేనల్లుడు mēnalluḍu. n. (p. 1190) vivēkamu vi-vēkamu. [Skt.] n. Discrimination, judgment, the faculty of distinguishing, prudence, discretion, సదసద్వివేచన, విభేదజ్ఞానము, తెలివి. 'వినువివేకమనెడు వింతగొడ్డలిచేత నలయవిద్యయనెడునడవినరికి.' Vema. 341. 'తనవివేకములోకమువారు మెచ్చగా.' T. ii. 38. వివేకములోకమువారు వివేకముకలిగియుండు to come to oneself, reflect, be wise. తెలివి తెచ్చుకొను. వివేకి vi-vēki. n. One who is cautious or prudent. తెలివిగలవాడు. వివేకించు or వివేచించు vi-vēkinṭsu. v. a. To reason, discriminate, distinguish. విమర్శచేయు, విచారించు, వివేచనచేయు.
