(p. 196) ēṭrinta ēṭrinta. [Tel.] adv. The bird called a king-crow: a drongo, Dicrurus ater (F.B.I.) పసులపోలిగాడు, భారద్వాజము, కాటుకపిట్ట 'ఏనుగకు ఏట్టింతరాయభారము' కాటుకపిట్ట 'ఏనుగుకు ఏట్టింతరాయభారము' (Prov.) much aid can the king-crow give to the elephant!

(p. 269) kāḍu or గాడు kāḍu. [Tel. for వాడు.] (an affix.) He, that man. సొగసుకాడు a pretty fellow. వేషగాడు a masker. Added to names, it denotes meanness or low station in life, thus: అబ్బిగాడు, సుబ్బిగాడు, as in English, a fellow named so and so. It is also part of the names of some animals as ఇబ్బందికాడు a leopard. బావురుగాడు a he cat. పసులుపోలిగాడు the bird called a drongo or kingcrow.

(p. 271) kāpari kāpari. [Tel. from కాచు.] n. A keeper. రక్షకుడు. అలగాపరి or పసులకాపరి a herdsman. 'కాపరిలేని గొర్రియలకైవడి కంటకచోరకోటిచే, సేపరియున్న దీభువన మీశుడు కృష్ణుడులేమి.' భాగ. i.

(p. 321) koraku koraku. [Tel.] (an affix as a sign of the fourth case). For: for want of: on behalf of, on account of: with a view to: to the end that. నా కొరకు for me. పరలోక సౌఖ్యముకొరకు with a view to obtaining heaven. కొరకు or కొరను koraku. n. A hedge round a place where cattle graze. పసులుమేయుకంచె. A place where birds find their food పక్షులు ఎరతినుచోటు.

(p. 489) ṭeṅki ṭenki. [Tel.] n. A place, house, home: a covert, a den or lair. Swa. iv. 75. H. i. 85. టెంకులు ఇంకిపోయినవి. (HD. i. 1558.) the wells dried up. The fish called a ray. (p. 501) tagu tagu. [Tel.] v. n. To be fit, or proper, to suit or agree, suffice. యుక్తమగు. p|| తగిన or తగ్గ, fit, proper, moderate. Neg. p|| తగని unfit, unsuitable, immoderate, vast, horrid. It is often used impersonally: Thus అట్లు చేయదగునా is it fit to do so? పోదగదు it is not right to go. తెలిసికొనదగును it is possible to discover it 'తపసులుపురమునతగదువర్తింప.' DRK. 204. తగుమాత్రమైన sufficient, some. తగుమాత్రముగా moderately, well, amply. తగుమాత్రముగొప్ప pretty large. Here తగు is used as a p|| instead of తగిన. తగిన tagina (Rel. p|| of తగు.) adj. Fitting, proper, due, right, likely, probable, pretty. తగినమాత్రము pretty well. తగినట్టుగా tagi-n-aṭṭu-gā. adv. Fitly, properly.

(p. 813) polamu polamu. [Tel.] n. A field, corn land. చేను, పైరుపెట్టునేల. A rice field, వరిపైరుపెట్టునేల. Uncultivated land on which cattle graze, పసులుమేయు భూమి. A forest, అడవి. (p. 918) bharadvājamu bharadvājamu [Skt.] n. The King-crow or Drongo-shrike, Dicrurus ater (F.B.I.) ఏట్రింతి, వ్యాఘ్రాటపక్షి. Radha KD. (it has been wrongly taken to be the sky lark: it never rises into the sky and is commonly seen on the backs of cattle and hence is called పసులుపోలిగాడు. It will even perch on the tiger and hence is called వ్యాఘ్రాటము.)
