(p. 269) kāḍu or గాడు kāḍu. [Tel. for వాడు.] (an affix.) He, that man. సొగసుకాడు a pretty fellow. వేషగాడు a masker. Added to names, it denotes meanness or low station in life, thus: అబ్బిగాడు, సుబ్బిగాడు, as in English, a fellow named so and so. It is also part of the names of some animals as ఇబ్బందికాడు a leopard. బావురుగాడు a he cat. పసులుపోలిగాడు the bird called a drongo or kingcrow.

(p. 918) bharadvājamu bharadvājamu [Skt.] n. The King-crow or Drongo-shrike, Dicrurus ater (F.B.I.) ఏట్రింతి, వ్యాఘ్రాటపక్షి. Radha KD. (it has been wrongly taken to be the sky lark: it never rises into the sky and is commonly seen on the backs of cattle and hence is called పసులుపోలిగాడు. It will even perch on the tiger and hence is called వ్యాఘ్రాటము.)
