(p. 219) ōla ōla. [Tel.] n. A cry, shout, hurrah! Bathing, playing in water. జలక్రీడ M. viii. iii. 112. ఓలగందము ōla-gandamu. n. Saffron that is smeared over the body while bathing పూతపసుపు.

(p. 676) nemali , నెమిలి, నెమ్మి or నెమ్మిలి nemali. [Tel.] n. A peacock. నెమలి అడుగు a certain plant, పూతికరజము అనే చెట్టు. H. iv. 18. నెమలికన్నులు the eyes in a peacock's train. నెమలిచెట్టు nemali-cheṭṭu. n. A tree called త్రిపాది. నెమలి౛ుట్టుఆకు nemali-ḍzuṭṭu-āku. n. A certain medicinal plant. నెమలిమొగ్గ nemali-mogga. n. (lit: The peacock's spreading its tail:) An attitude assumed by dancing girls, walking on the hands with the feet in the air. నెమలివడ్లు nemali-vaḍlu. n. A kind of rice. శాలిధాన్య విశేషము.

(p. 686) paṅga panga. [Tel.] n. A fork, as the forked branch of a tree. పంగగా panga-gā. (adv.) Astride, with the legs apart. పంగటి pangaṭi. adj. Stretching out like the prongs of a fork. 'అనుకు వెల్లడిగందమున నాభి నుండి మూపులదాక పంగటి పూతపూతి.' Vaija. iv. 57. పంగటించు panga-tinṭsu. v. n. To straddle or open the legs far apart; to sprawl. పంగటికాళ్లవాడు pangaṭi-kālla-vāḍu. n. A bandy-legged man. దొడ్డికాళ్లు గలవాడు. పంగనామము a fork-like mark worn on the forehead by the Vaishnavaites, పడుమ ఎడము గల్పు పంగివలె తీర్చిన తిరుమణి, as distinguished from పంగనామము, a mark which has no broad fork like branches. పంగలుగుంజ a forked post such as rafters rest on. పంగలకర్ర a forked stick. మూడుపంగలయీటె a trident shaped spear.

(p. 723) palaganduḍu pala-ganḍuḍu. [Skt.] n. A brick layer, a plasterer. సున్నపు పూతపూయువాడు. A tank-digger or excavator. ఉప్పరివాడు.

(p. 779) pūta pūta. (from Tel. పూయు or పూచు.) n. Rubbing, besmearing. పూయుట, చర్చ. Sandal which is smeared over the body, చందనము. Mortar. సున్నపుగచ్చు. Blooming, budding, పూచుట, వికసము. నోటిపూత Aphthae, a disease of the mouth, thrush. Fragrant paste applied to the skin. చందనము. నాలుగు బంగారుపూతలు అయినవి four coats of gilding are applied. ఆ చెట్టు పూతపట్టలేదు that tree has not commenced to flower.

Gold. నీ యిల్లు బంగారముకాను or నీబుద్ధి బంగారముకాను bless your innocent heart! you silly creature! కాకి బంగారు tinsel. ముచ్చిబంగారు tinsel, gilding, as distinguished from మంచిబంగారు real gold. బంగారు bangāru. adj. Golden. The various names of gold are used (as in other languages) to denote Fine, noble, beautiful, admirable, thus: బంగారు కొండ or బంగరుకొండ the golden mountain, హేమాద్రి, మేరుపర్వతము; my darling. నా బంగారుదొర my beloved lord! బంగారుపట్ట sweet bird! Also, used to express contempt. బంగారు మర్యాద vastly polite! బంగారున్యాయము a precious reason! బంగారు పని a very pretty business! బంగారు చిన్నవాడు a hopeful lad. వాడు పుట్టినది అంతా బంగారు అవుచువచ్చినది all he did prospered. బంగారుగా bangāru-gā. adv. Grandly. vastly, well, preciously, As easily as possible. As you please! with all my heart! by all means! బంగారుకంటి bang-āru-kanṭi. n. (Lit:) Golden-eyed: A name of a Little Owl, పైడికంటిల and also of a sort of rice. బంగారుతీగలు bangāru-tīgalu. n. (Lit: Gold-sprouts:) A sort of rice. శాలిధాన్యము. బంగారునీరు bangāru-nīmu. n. Gilding. బంగారుపాము bangāru-pāmu. n. A very venomous kind of snake. బంగారుపిచ్చిక bangāru-pichchi-ka. n. The Weaver-bird, Ploccus baya. బంగారుపూత bangāru-pata. n. Gilding. బంగారుపూతలు a kind of grain.
