(p. 132) inta inta. [Tel. ఇ+అంత] adj. This much, so large as this. ఇంతమట్టుకు thus far; as yet. ఇంతకు and beside all this. ఇంతలో meanwhile. ఇంతకుమున్ను, ఇంతకుపూర్వము heretofore. ఇక యింత this much more. ఇంతదాక all this while, thus far. ఇంత చెడ్డ so bad. ఇంతపొడుగు so long. ఇంతలు కన్నులు eyes so large. ఇంతలేసి పనులు such great works. నాలుగింతలు four times as much. ఇంతా అంతా కాదు it is vastly great, lit. it is not so much nor so much. వాడు పడ్డ ప్రయాసము ఇంతంతకాదు the trouble he is in is beyond telling. ఇంతంత దొంగకాడు he is no common rogue. ఇంతట intaṭa. adv. With this. ఇంతటిలో within this time. ఇంతటి such. ఇంతవట్టు inta-vaṭṭu. All this. ఇది అంతయును. ఇంతమాత్రము. ఇంతియ, or ఇంతె only this much; that's all ఇంతమాత్రమే, ఇంతియెగాని and notwithstanding all. ఇంతేకాకుండా and besides all this.

(p. 184) eṭṭakēni eṭṭa-k-ēni. [Tel.] adv. Hard. scarcely, with much difficulty అతిప్రయాసముతో ఎట్టకేలకు eṭṭa-kēla-ku. adv. With much difficulty ఎట్టకేని. Shortly after, soon after, after a while. తుదకు, చాలాసేపటికి, కొంతసేపటికి, అటు తర్వాత. ఎట్టట eṭṭaṭa. (ఎట్టు+అటు+ఆ) adv. Anyhow ఎట్టయిన.

(p. 307) kṛṣi kṛishi. [Skt.] n. Cultivation, husbandry, agriculture, ploughing, cultivating the soil. సేద్యము. Labour, exertion ప్రయాసము, శ్రమ. కృషికుడు or కృషీవలుడు kṛiṣhī-kuḍu. n. A cultivator, a husbandman. సేద్యకాడు.

(p. 353) gaḍḍu gaḍḍu. [Tel.] adj. Hard, rare, scarce. అసాధ్యము. adv. Much. మిక్కిలి. గడ్డుమాట a bold word. గడ్డువాడు a dangerous character. గడ్డు n. Violence, outrage. Difficulty. బలాత్కారము, ప్రయాసము, దుర్లభము. గడ్డురుకు to rebel, to be stiff-necked. గడ్డురుకు to rebel, to be stiff-necked. గడ్డుపనులు bold deeds. గడ్డుకొను gaḍḍu-konu. v. n. To excel. అతిశయించు.

(p. 654) nimittamu nimittamu. [Skt.] n. A cause, reason, motive, mark, sign, token, omen. హేతువు, చిహ్నము, గురి, శకునము, దుర్నిమిత్తము a bad omen. As an affix: Respecting, regarding, on account of, because of. అందునిమిత్తము for that reason, therefore ఉప్పునిమిత్తము పోయినది she is gone for salt. ఆ యాస్తికిని నాకును నిమిత్తము లేకుండా చేసినారు they cut me off from the estate. దీన్ని అడగడమునకు నీకేమి నిమిత్తము what business have you to ask this? అతని దర్శననిమిత్తమై పోతిని I went to visit him. నిమిత్తముమాలినపని an unreasonable act. నిమిత్తముమాలినమాట a groundless assertion. నానిమిత్తమై నీవు కొంచెము ప్రయాసపడవలెను you must take a little trouble for me, or on my account.

(p. 836) prayāsamu or ప్రయాస pra-yāsamu. [Skt.] n. Toil, violent effort, trouble, difficulty, pain. శ్రమము. ఆ మాట వినడమునకే ప్రయాసముగానున్నది it is painful even to hear that word. నేను చెప్పేమాటలు అతను వినడమే ప్రయాస it is hard to get him to listen to what I say. ప్రయాసపడు pra-yāsa-paḍu. v. n. To try hard, to take pains, to incur difficulties, to suffer. శ్రమపడు.

(p. 1123) vaṭṭi vaṭṭi. [Tel.] adj. Empty, mere, plain, simple, naked, downright, utter, gross, false, vain: unprofitable, groundless. ఉత్త. ఏమియు లేని, ప్రయోజనములేని. వట్టిఆవు a dry cow. వట్టికాలు a shin bone, పిక్కవెలుపటికాలు. వట్టిగోడ a mere wall, a blind wall. వట్టికాళ్లతో వచ్చినాడు he came barefoot. వట్టిమన్ను loose earth. వట్టిగాలి mere wind, without rain. వట్టిప్రయాసము unprofitable labour. వట్టిమాట an untrue word, a meaningless word, లేని మాట. అపవాదము. వట్టివరి or వట్టివరులు, a kind of grain. సస్యవిశేషము. వట్టివాడు an empty fool, వ్యర్థుడు. వట్టివేరు vaṭṭi-vēru. n. A fragrant grass usually called Cuscus. Andropogon muricatus. (Watts.) Same as ఆవురుగడ్డివేరు, ఆవురువేరు, విడవలివేరు, ఉశీరము. లామజ్జకము. వట్టు or వట్టిపోవు vaṭṭu. v. n. To dry, become dry, be drained. నీరు ఇంకు, నీరు ఎండిపోవు. ఇంకు. To become lean, కృశించు. n. Drying up, draining, నీరువట్టిపోవడము. A dried vegetable, వరుగు. A scab, ఎండినపక్కు. A hoop, కొయ్యకుగాని దూలమునకుగాని బలమిచ్చుటకు వేసిన కట్టు. A limit, మేర. ఇంతవట్టు thus far, ఇంతమట్టుకు. 'అనుజులదనయులమత్వరిజనులను సమయించివారుసమరోల్లాసంబున మెరయజూడనేర్తు రెజననాధున కింతవట్టుసంజయచెపుమా.' (p. 1244) śarīramu ṣarīramu. [Skt.] n. The body. దేహము, గాత్రము, మేను. The word may sometimes be omited in translation; thus, మీ శరీరములో ఎట్లున్నది how are you? are you in good health? నా శరీరము కుదురుగా నున్నది I am well. పొట్టిశరిరముగనునిషి a man of short stature. శరీరసుఖము bodily health. శరీరప్రయాసము hard labour. శరీరసంబంధము consanguinity. శరీరి ṣarīri. n. An embodied spirit, a corporeal being, శరీరముగలవాడు. An animal, creature. జంతువు.

(p. 1261) śrama or శ్రమము ṣrama. [Skt.] n. Labour, toil, trouble, distress, hardship, difficulty, fatigue, weariness, అలసట, ప్రయాసము. కష్టము, తొందర. Practice, అలవాటు. 'శ్రమమునకై యేమసకలాంబకంబు లెక్కుడు వెసనేయ.' భార. కర్ణ. ii. Excercise, దేహదార్ఢ్యమునకైచేయు సాము. శ్రమపడు ṣrama-paḍu. v. n.
