(p. 663) niṣ nish. [Skt. another form of నిర్ q.v.] A particle of negation. నిష్కపటము nish-kapatamu. adj. Without cunning or pretence, sincere, simple. కపటములేని. నిష్కల్మషము nish-kalmashamu. adj. Pure, free from evil. నిష్కళంకము nish-kaḷankamu. adv. Spotless, stainless; clear, perspicuous, decisive, unquestionable, కళంకములేని, డాగులేని. నిష్కళుడు nish-kaḷuḍu. n. One who is devoid of qualities: that is, a divine or holy being. నిష్కాంచనము nish-kānchanamu. n. Poverty. The being ' without a penny,' or penniless. నిష్కాముడు nish-kāmuḍu. n. One who is 'without any desires,' i.e., without hope. నిష్కారణము nish-kāraṇamu. adj. Causeless, unreasonable. నిష్కారణముగా nish-kāraṇamu-gā. adv. Causelessly. నిష్ఖలుడు nish-khaluḍu. n. One who is sinless or harmless. నిష్ప్రయోజనము nish-prayōjanamu. adj. Useless. ప్రయోజనములేని. నిష్ఫలము nish-phalamu. adj. Fruitless, vain. ఫలములేని.

Brilliant, polished. మెరుగైన. మిసిమిగలచూతఫలములు mangoes that shone as if polished. మిసిమి పెందొడలు thighs that stone as if polished. 'మిసిమితేట.' R. ii. 76. మిసిమింతలు misi-mintalu. n. Fading, decrease of brightness. Want of lustre, gloom, gloominess. కాంతితరుగుటలు, కనుగందుటలు. మిసిమింతుడు misi-mintuḍu. n. One who is gloomy, or fallen in countenance. One who is tired, అలసినవాడు. మిసిమింతురాలు misi-mintu-r-ālu. n. A woman who is gloomy or in her decline, or past her bloom She who is tired, అలసినది. 'రాలెన్ని వేసినను, మిసిమింతుడవుకావు మృడదేవయేను మిసిమింతురాలుగాక.' BD. vi. 532. 'వహ్నికీలలలోనిట్లు, వన్నెచెడక.' HN. iii. 149.

(p. 995) muktamu muktamu. [Skt.] adj. Freed, released, liberated, discharged, sent (as a weapon). ముక్తకవచుడు disarmed, freed from his armour. ముక్తత్వము mukta-tvamu. n. Freedom, release, liberty. విమోచనము. ముక్తపదగ్రస్తము mukta-pada-grastamu. n. Reiteration somewhat similar to caffing verses. అంతాది. ముక్తాఫలము muktā-phalamu. n. A pearl, ముత్యము. ముక్తాఫలములవలెనుండు లిపి a pearly hand in writing, i.e., round, clear, and beautiful. ముక్తాయించు to finish (in music.) ముక్తార్థము a summary, the purport. ముక్తావళి mukt-āvali. n. A pearl necklace. ముత్యాలహారము. ముక్తాస్ఫోటము muktā-sphōṭamu. n. A pearl oyster. శుక్తి. ముత్తెపుచిప్ప. ముక్తి mukti. n. The delivery of the soul from the body, and its exemption from further transmigration, liberation, deliverance, emancipation, మోక్షము. సంసారముక్తి or భవముక్తి release from all earthly bonds or mortal ties. 'మానుగభవముక్తి గలుగు మహిలో.' Vema. 481. ముక్తుడు muktuḍu. n. One who is freed, emancipated or released from the body. మోక్షమును పొందినవాడు.

(p. 1246) śākunamu ṣākunamu. [Skt. from శకునము a bird.] n. Augury, the science of omens. శకునశాస్త్రము. శాకునికుడు ṣāunikuḍu. n. A fowler, a bird-catcher. An explainer of omens of dreams. పక్షులను పట్టుకొనే బోయవాడు, శకున స్వప్నఫలములు చెప్పువాడు.
