(p. 857) baṅgāramu, baṅgaramu, baṅgāru or బంగరు bangāramu. [Tel.] n. Gold. నీ యిల్లు బంగారముకాను or నీబుద్ధి బంగారముకాను bless your innocent heart! you silly creature! కాకి బంగారు tinsel. ముచ్చిబంగారు tinsel, gilding, as distinguished from మంచిబంగారు real gold. బంగారు bangāru. adj. Golden. The various names of gold are used (as in other languages) to denote Fine, noble, beautiful, admirable, thus: బంగారు కొండ or బంగరుకొండ the golden mountain, హేమాద్రి, మేరుపర్వతము; my darling. నా బంగారుదొర my beloved lord! బంగారుపట్ట sweet bird! Also, used to express contempt. బంగారు మర్యాద vastly polite! బంగారున్యాయము a precious reason! బంగారు పని a very pretty business! బంగారు చిన్నవాడు a hopeful lad. వాడు పుట్టినది అంతా బంగారు అవుచువచ్చినది all he did prospered. బంగారుగా bangāru-gā. adv. Grandly. vastly, well, preciously, As easily as possible. As you please! with all my heart! by all means! బంగారుకంటి bang-āru-kanṭi. n. (Lit:) Golden-eyed: A name of a Little Owl, పైడికంటిల and also of a sort of rice. బంగారుతీగలు bangāru-tīgalu. n. (Lit: Gold-sprouts:) A sort of rice. శాలిధాన్యము. బంగారునీరు bangāru-nīmu. n. Gilding. బంగారుపాము bangāru-pāmu. n. A very venomous kind of snake. బంగారుపిచ్చిక bangāru-pichchi-ka. n. The Weaver-bird, Ploccus baya. బంగారుపూత bangāru-pata. n. Gilding. బంగారుపూతలు a kind of grain.

(p. 862) baccu or బచ్చువాడు baṭsṭsu. [Tel.] n. A Vaisya, Chetty or Komati, వైశ్యుడు. A treasurer, బొక్కసమునకధికారి. One who tests silver and gold, వెండి బంగారముల నాణెముచూచువాడు. (p. 1082) rūka rūka. [Tel.] n. A silver coin, sometimes equal to two and sometimes to four annas. A two-anna piece. A small coin of silver or gold. చిన్నమెత్తు వెండిబంగారములనాణెము. రూక or చిన్నరూక a single twoanna piece. పెద్దరూక the coin called a quarter of a Rupee. బంగారురూక a small gold coin. కంఠీరవరాయరూక a coin named after a king whose proper name was Canṇīirava or 'the Lion,' valued at nearly three Rupees. రూక or రూకలు rūka. n. Money in general, wealth, ధనము. రూకలు గల moneyed, having money. రూకలులేని penniless.

(p. 1215) veli veli. [Tel.] n. Whiteness, తెలుపు. The outside or exterior, బయట, బాహ్యము. The external surface of the body, దేహముయొక్క బహిఃప్రదేశము. Publicity, బయలుపాటు. Excommunication, or exclusion from caste, బహిష్కారము. మాలో వెలి అనేమాటలేదు excommunication is unknown in our caste. 'వెలికిగోర్కు లెల్లవిడిచిపెట్టి.' Vēma. 791. adj. White, తెల్లని. Outer, outside, external. బైటి, బాహ్యమైన. వెలిగుడారు a tent pitched outside the town. వెలిపొలములు the outlying fields of a village. వెలికొత్తు to drive out. వెలికత్తెరనేల veli-kattera-nēla. a. The white elephant of Indra, ఐరావితము. వలిచంట్ర The white species of the tree called చండ్ర వెలిచవి veli-ṭsavi. n. Adultery. జారత్వము. వెలితిప్ప veli-tippa. n. The silver mountain, Kailasa. వెండి కొండ, కైలాసము. వెలితుమ్మ the white species of the తుమ్మచెట్టు. వెలిదుక్కి veli-dukki. n. Ploughing land while it is moist with rain. నీళ్లుకట్టకుండావానతడితో దున్నడము. (Opposed to రొంపిదుక్కి.) వెలిపము Same as వలిపము. (q. v.) వెలిపుచ్చు or వెలిపరచు veli-putstsu v. a. To reveal, divulge. బైటబెట్టు, బయలుపరుచు, 'వేదశీర్షమెల్లవెలి బుచ్చగానేల.' Vēma. 214. వెలిపెట్టు See వెలివేయు. వెలిబూడిద veli-būḍida. n. (Indra's) white horse, (ఇంద్రుని) తెల్లగుర్రము, ఉచ్చైశ్శ్రవము. వెలిమావులు white mares. 'విమలాంబుదముల బూనిన విమానములనదగవెలసి వెలిమావులు.' M. VII. i. 228. 'వేరొక్క వెలిమావువేల్పుదొరకు.' R. i. 46. వెలిమిడి or వెల్మిడి veli-miḍi. (వెలి+మిడుగు.) n. The ashes of cow-dung fuel, ashes, పిడకనిప్పులబూడిద, భస్మము. 'తెలుపులన్నియు మేలుదెలియంగనిసుక వెలిమిడియెముకలు వెసనుప్పుపత్తి.'
