(p. 45) advaitamu a-dvaitamu. [Skt.] n. Nonduality. The doctrine of the indentity of the human soul with the divine essence of the Deity and the universe. జీవేశ్వరులకు అభేదమును చెప్పే మతము. అద్వైతి n. One that maintains the Advaita doctrine.

(p. 56) anumatamu anumatamu. [Skt.] adj. Allowed, permitted, consented to. సెలవివ్వబడ్డ, సమ్మతింపబడిన.

(p. 70) abhiprāyamu abhi-prāyamu. [Skt.] n. Opinion, sentiment, notion, idea, thought, design, meaning, signification, import. తలుపు, తాత్పర్యము. అభిప్రేతము adj. Intended, designed, aimed at. సమ్మతమైన.

(p. 70) abhimatamu abhi-matamu. [Skt.] n. Desire, wish, inclination, consent, approbation. ఇచ్ఛ, సమ్మతము. అభిమతము adj. Wished, approved, acceptable. సమ్మతమైన, ఈప్సితమైన.

(p. 94) avamati ava-mati. [Skt.] n. Disgrace, disregard. అవమానము. అవమతము adj. Despised, disregarded. అవమానితము.

(p. 95) avalambiñcu avalambinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To take hold of any thing; depend on any person or thing. చేపట్టు, ఆశ్రయించు, ఆ మతమును అవలంబించినవారు Converts, those who embraced that creed. ధైర్యము నవలంబంచి picking up courage. ఆయనమాట నవలంబించినారు they embraced his opinion, or sided with him. అవలంబము or అవలంబనము avalambamu n. Taking hold of anything, hanging on or from. Adoption, or profession of certain views. గతి, ఆశ్రయము, మతావలంబనము the adoption of a religion. అవలంబితము adj. That which is adopted, as one's own.

(p. 98) aśāstrīyamu a-ṣāstrīyamu. [Skt.] Opposed to the Sāstras. శాస్త్రసమ్మతముకాని.

(p. 118) āmōdiñcu ā-mōdinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To be glad; to agree, concur with, assent, consent, సంతోషించు, సమ్మతించు. ఆమోదము āmōdamu. n. Sweetness, delight, joy. సంతోషము, సమ్మతము.

(p. 198) ēdara ēdara. [Tel.] n. Personal property, that is, property that is distinct from what belongs to the family as a whole. కుటుంబముతో చేరని స్వతంత్రపు సొమ్ము. వాడు కొంత యేదర కలిగియున్నాడు he has money of his own which does not belong to the family. వానికాయూరిలో ఏదర కమతము కలదు he has his own cultivation in the village apart from what his family has.

(p. 214) orudala oru-dala. [Tel.] n. A hole ఎలుక బొక్క. P. ii. 117. Solitude ఏకాంతము. Talebearing, backbiting చాడీలు చెప్పుట, కొండెములు చెప్పుడ, కొండెకానితనము Miserliness పైశున్యము. ఒరుదలకాడు orudala-kāḍu. n. A wretch: a miser పిశునుడు. A. iv. 167. A talebearer. A backbiter, a slanderer, a tell-tale, కొండెకాడు. 'మొదలన యొరుదలకానిం జెదరంగానాడకాత్మ జింతింపుపదిం బదిగమృషయేని మరివిడు మదముస్తుగజేయకుండు మొక్క మతమునన్.' A. iv. 267.

(p. 246) kamatamu or కమ్మతము kamatamu. [Tel. n. Partnership. అనేకులు చేరిచేయుసేద్యము. The cultivation which an owner carries on with his own farming stock. Labour, tillage. కృషి, వ్యవసాయము. కమతకాడు or కమతీడు or కమతగాడు a labourer, or slave employed in tillage.

(p. 247) kammatamu Same as కమతము. కమ్మతీడు Same as కమతకాడు.

(p. 302) kūci kūchi. [Tel.] adj. Sharp, sharp pointed. వాడియైన. కూచిచేయు kūchi-chēyu. v. n. To march as an army. దండు ప్రయాణమగు. కూచిమతము kūchi-matama. [Tel.] n. Name of a sect among the Sātānis. సాతానులలో నొకమతము.

(p. 305) kūsu kūsu. [Tel.] adj. Low, base, trifling. కూసుమతము a miserable sect, a degraded sect. కూసువిద్య idle studies. A proverb says, అభ్యాసముకూసువిద్య Practice makes every thing easy.
