(p. 741) pāraṇa or పారణము pāraṇa. [Skt.] n. Eating after a fast, breaking a fast, ఉపవాసముండి మరునాడుచేయు భోజనము. Metaphorically used for eating. In Telugu it is applied to a peculiar sacrifice in honor of ancestors. అసతాం ధర్మబుద్ధి శ్చేత్సతాం సంతాపకారణం, ఉపోషితస్యవ్యాఘ్రస్య పారణాపశుమారణం. 'బడలిక తీరనిత్తనువు పారణసేయుము మైత్రిగల్గిన).' A. vi. 63.

Other, next, in return. మరునాడు or మర్నాడు (మరుసటినాడు) next day. మరుమాట' (మారు + మాట) a word in return, contradiction. వేమరు or వేమారు a thousand times. మరుపడు maru-paḍu. (మరుగు + పడు) v. n. To be concealed, to disappear or vanish, మరుగగు, అదృశ్యమగు. 'ఇనుమండలంబు మరుపడనొనరించెద.' M. VII. iv. 315. మరుపెట్టు maru-peṭṭa. v. a. To conceal, hide. మరుగుచేయు. మరుమ్రోత maru-mrōta. (మారు + మ్రోత.) n. An echo.
