To urge or cause to run. To flow as water. To pass as time. To make one enjoy or suffer. పాటుపడజేయు, విస్తరింపజేయు, చేయు, పోవు, పరుగెత్తు. పరుగెత్తిమచు. ప్రవహించు, గడుచు, అనుభవింపజేయు 'కొట్టితేని యముడు గొట్టుపరుచు.' Vēma. 1341. 'వినతకు మ్రొక్కి వీడ్కొని గరుడుండు నతిత్వరీతగతింబరచి.' M. I. ii. 68. 'నీపేరెరిగియును దుపనొల్లక పరుతురధోగతుల౛ాడ పద్మదళాక్ష.' B. X. 93. 'చెట్టొకడుగాగ బరచిరి చెంచులుపుడు.' Swa. iv. 143. 'నిండిపరచుదరచు సెలయేరుల.' Swa. iv. 91. It is used with nouns, adjectives, verbs, and postpositions to form verbs with a causal signification. ఆటంకపరచు to prevent. భేదపరుచు to distinguish, to effect a distinction. to separate. సమ్మతిపరుచు to persuade, to convince or to make one agree. దృఢపరుచు to make firm to establish. తెలియబరుచు to make known. తేటబరుచు to make clear. లోబరుచుకొను to subdue, to bring under one's control. దిట్టపరుచు to prepare, to make ready. వారిని లోబరుచుకొన్నాడు he has got them into his hands. దాన్ని ఫలపరిచినాడు he brought it into use. పరత, పరతి or పరద parata. n. A stream, current, ప్రవాహము, వరద. వరతెంచు para-tenṭsu. [పరచు+తెంచు.] v. n. To come running. పారివచ్చు.

(p. 750) piṅgaḷamu pingaḷamu. [Skt.] adj. Brown, swarthy, tawny, red like a lion, or of the colour of honey, the colour of the mongoose or ichneumon. గోరోజనవర్ణము, నీలిపీతమిశ్రితవర్ణము. పింగళాక్షి pingaḷ-ākshi. adj. Fiery eyed, red eyed. పింగళనాడి pingaḷa-nāḍi. n. An anatomical phrase, used in the Yoga school of philosophy, for a particular vessel of the body, which runs from the os coccygis to the head, and which is the chief passage of breath and air. See సుషుమ్న.

(p. 1031) mēlu mēlu. [Tel.] n. Good, kindness. ఉపకారము. Good fortune, prosperity, favour, happiness, క్షేమము, శుభము. Profit, advantage, లాభము. Righteousness, పుణ్యము, సుకృతము. Excellence, superiority, విశేషము. Love, మోహము. Pride, మదము. 'చదువుల మేలులేదొ.' P. iv. 119. అక్కడికి పోతే మేలు it would be better to go there. అదేమేలు so much the better. మేలెరుగు to be grateful, remember kindness. కీడుమేలు తెలిసినవాడు one who knows good and evil. 'మేలుకలిగేవాడు in time of prosperity. 'తత్సుతశతకంబుకంటె నొక సూనృత వాక్యము మేలుభూవరా.' Bhārat మేలు or మేలి adj. Upper, higher. ఉపరి, అధికము, పై. Good, better. Vish. ii. 116. 'నిజచరిత్రంబు భావిబూభుజులకెల్ల మేలుబంతిగవసుమతియేలుచుండె.' ib. vi. 63. మేలలుమచ్చు mēlu-maṭsṭsu. n. An upper storey, చంద్రశాల. మేలుమచ్చులు a kind of game played by boys. మేలురాసి mēlu rāṣi. n. The top part of a heap of winnowed grain. తూర్పెత్తిన ధాన్యపుసోగు. మేలువాడు mēlu-vāḍu. n. A lover, విటుడు, వలపుకాడు, మంచివాడు. 'అంతరాధకుమేలు వాడైమురారి.' A. v. 56.

(p. 1036) mogali or మొగిలి mogali. [Tel.] n. The Screw Pine, or Mangrove, Mandanus odoratissimus. (Rox. iii. 738.) కేతకి. మొగిలిచాప a mat made of its leaves. మొగలాకుగొడుగు an umbrella made of its leaves. మొగిలిచండ్లు the drooping tips of the branches. మొగిలిపువ్వు the fragrant flower of this tree. మొగిలినాగు a snake said to be found in its flower. మొగలిరేకు a petal of its flower, or an ornament worn by women on the head. మొగలికోడి mogali-kōḍi. n. A watercock. ఒకపక్షి. మొగలిపనస mogali-panasa. n. The pineapple, అనాసచెట్టు మొగలేరు moga-lēru. (మొగలి + ఏరు.) n. The celestial river. ఆకాశగంగ. The name of a stream, also called సువర్ణముఖి. 'మొగలేటిమడువున' Kālahas. ii. 161. BD. iii. 349. మొగలివాకిలి mogali-vākili. n. An entrance to a town, తలవాకిలి. A town hall where criminal cases are tried. కచ్చేరి, హ౛ారము. 'పణిహారులు వేగను వీరచోడునింటను వెలుగొందుగిన్నె కపటంబునగైకొని దొంగవంచు నవ్వవజిదళాక్షినింమొగలివాకిటికీడిచి చోరదండన మొనరింప జూడగ.' Valeswara. v. 85.
