(p. 788) peḍa peḍa. [Tel.] adj. Large. పెద్ద. Hinder, back, behind. వెనుకటి. Wrong, erroneous, audacious, విపరీతము. పెడయుక్తులు wicked devices. పెడతల the back of the head, తలవెనుకటిభాగము. పెడకోరికలు wrong wishes. పెడదారి a wrong way, తప్పుదారి. పెడచెయ్యి the back of the hand, మీజెయ్యి. సెడర్థము a wrong sense. పెడబొబ్బలు a dreadful yell. పెడకచ్చ the back tuck of the modesty piece. పెడరెక్కలు విరిచికట్టు to pinion. పెడక peḍaka. n. The back part or haft of a knife, కత్తియొక్క వెనుకటి భాగము. పెడకంటివారు peḍa-kanṭi-vāru.n. The name of a certain subdivision of Kāpu caste.' పంటమోటాటి పెడకంటి పానాటి.' H. iv. 171. పెడకట్టె or పెడసరకట్టె peda-katte. n. A stubborn person, మూర్ఖుడు, మూర్ఖురాలు. పెడకట్లు peḍa-katlu. n. Tying the hands behind the back, చేతులను వెనుకకు విరిచికట్టుట పెడకాలు peḍa-kālu. n. A leg folded backwards, వెనుకకు మడిచినకాలు పెడకేలు peḍa-kēlu. n. An arm bent backwards. పెడకేలుకట్టు peḍakēlu-kaṭṭu. v. a. To pinion, పెడరెక్కలు విరిచికట్టు. 'పెడకేలుగట్టిన ప్రియసుతు గాంచి.' SD. v. 419. పెడచెవి peḍa-chevi. n. The back part of the ear, చెవివెనుకటిభాగము. నామాటలు పెడచెవిని బెట్టినాడు he turned a deaf ear to my words. పెడనెల peḍa-nela. n. A clever or skilful man, తీర్పరి (obsolete.) పెడబాయు peḍa-bāyu. v. n. To be separated, ఎడబాయు. 'వల్లభులు ప్రాణవిభుంబెడబాయనేర్తురే.' Parij. iv. 60. పెడబాపు peḍa-bāpu. v. a. To separate, &c. ఎడబాపు. M. XII. v. 87. పెడమరలు, పెడమరు or పెడమర్లు peḍa-maralu. v. n. To turn back, వెనుకకు తిరుగు. పెడమర్లు peḍa-marlu. n. Turning back, fleeing. వెనుకకు తిరుగుట. పెడమరించు peḍa-marintsu. v. a. To cause to turn back, వెనుకకుత్రిప్పు. పెడమల్లె peḍa-malle. n. A kind of Jasmine tree. H. iv. 21. పెడమోము or పెడము peḍa-mōmu. n. The face turned away. పెడమోముపడు peḍa-mōmu-paḍu. v. n. To be turned away, as the face. పెడరేచు peḍa-rēṭsu. v. a. To goad, instigate, egg on, పురికొలుపు.

(p. 1084) rekka rekka. [Tel.] n. A wing, పక్షము. Also, any thing resembling a wing as the shoulder blade, or a leaf of a door. పోసరెక్కలు pieces of smoked fish. అంచరెక్కలసె౛్జ a downy bed. రెక్కలతలుపు a door which has two leaves, a folding door. రెక్కలాగుననున్నది she is very slender. పెడరెక్కలు విరిచికట్టు to pinion a man. రెక్కలువిరిగిన పక్షి a bird with broken wings, i.e., a helpless person. రెక్కచాపు rekka-ṭsāpu. n. A long cloth, containing an under and an upper garment. దోవతిని ఉత్తరీయమును కలిగి యుండునది. రెక్కపాయలు or రెక్కపాలలు rekka-pāyalu. n. A sort of grain. H. iv. 157.

(p. 1100) lāka lāka. [Tel.] n. A feather. పక్షియీక. A new shoot from a stalk of corn, &c. ౛ొన్నపైరులాకపెట్టినది the cholam has sent out fresh shoots. లాకకట్టు lāka-kaṭṭu. n. Pinioning the arms. పెడచేతులువిరిచికట్టు. లాకలు lākalu. n. plu. Small pieces of stick, used by weavers. సాలెవాడు పడుగునందుగుచ్చే పుల్లలు.' కారంపుపడుగులు కండెల కప్పెర గోలముల్ లాకలునీలకడవ, గంప, డొల్ల, కళాసంబు, కదురు, చెమికె.' H. ii. 12. లాకకట్ట lāka-kaṭṭu. n. The unfinished warp of a cloth with pieces of wood still stuck in it, లాకలతో చుట్టి యుంచిన పనిముగియని పడుగు.

(p. 1185) viricikaṭṭu virichi-kaṭṭu. [Tel.] v. a. To pinion (a man) or tie his arms behind his back. పెడరెక్కలుకట్టు, చేతులను వెనుకకు మళ్లించికట్టు. n. The act of pinioning a man, చేతులను వెనుకకు మరలించికట్టుట.
