(p. 310) kēvu kēvu. [H.] n. Freight. ఓడకూలి, ఓడమీద వేసే సరుకుకు కూలి. కేవరి kē-vari. (కేవు+అరి.) n. He who hires a ship: the freighter. ఓడను కేవుకు పుచ్చుకొనువాడు.

(p. 723) parvamu parvamu. [Skt.] n. A knot, a joint in a cane or body. గణుపు. A feast or annual festival at a certain division of the year. A name given to certain days in the lunar month, as the full and change of the moon, and the 8th and 14th of each half month, పండుగ. పంచపర్వములు the five holidays in a month, i.e., అష్టమి, చతుర్దశి, కునూవు, పూర్ణిమ, రవిసంక్రాంతి. పంచపర్వోత్సవము is a feast celebrated in one of these holidays. A sub-division of a book. The Mahābhārata is divided into eighteen (Purvamulu) books. నెత్రపర్వము a joyful sight, a feast for the eyes. పర్వసంధి parva-sandhi. n. The time that divides a new or full moon and the next day.

(p. 805) poḍugu, poḍuvu, poḍagu or పొడవు poḍugu. [Tel.] n. Height, length, stature, ఎత్తు. వెలపొడుగుచీర an expensive or high priced cloth, ఖరీదుగల లేక కిమ్మత్తయిన చీర. సంవత్సరము పొడుగున throughout the year. adj. High, tall, long, lofty. High, as price. v. n. To grow tall, increase, extend, ఉన్నతమగు, వర్ధిల్లు. బియ్యము వెల పొడిగినది the price of rice has risen. పొడుగాటి or పొడుగుపాటి poḍugāṭi. adj. Long, tall. పొడవడగు poḍav-aḍagu. (పొడవు+అడగు.) v. n. To be spoilt, చెడు. To die, చచ్చు. పొడవడచు poḍav-aḍaṭsu. To spoil, చెరుచు. To kill, చంపు. పొడవు poḍuvu. n. Shape, form రూపు. పొడగించు poḍiginṭsu. To lengthen, heighten, raise, increase, exalt. To aggravate. swell. To promote in rank. పొడుగుచేయు. ఎక్కువచేయు. పొడుగుమడుగు poḍugu-maḍugu. n. The heavenly Ganges, ఆకాశగంగ.
