(p. 82) arupu or అరపు arupu. [Tel.] v. n. To remain or be left, to be saved, to be within one's power. దక్కు. అరపరాని unwiedly, not handy. అరపరానికడి a morsel too big to swallow. వాడు అరపరానికడిగానున్నాడు, అనగా, వాడు గుమ్మడికాయంత ముత్యముగానున్నాడు he is unwieldy.

(p. 245) kabaḷamu kabaḷamu. [Skt.] n. A mouthful, a bolus. వాని నోరు మూయడమునకు ఒక కబళము వేసిరి they gave him a sop to make him hold his tongue. కబళించు kabaḷinṭsu. v. a. To swallow, devour. To snatch, seize. To pervade (as sparks or flashes do the sky.) మింగు, పట్టుకొను, వ్యాపించు.

The act of drawing in the breath, a gulp, a mouthful. గుక్క తిరుగకుండా నవ్వెను he was in fits of laughter. గుక్కనిలుపు or గుక్క పట్టు to restrain the breath. గుక్కెడు gukkeḍu. n. A mouthful. గుక్కిలి or గ్రుక్కిలి gukkili. [Tel.] The apple of the throat, a gulp; గుక్కిళ్లు మింగినాడు he swallowed his saliva, i.e., restrained himself, hesitated.

(p. 373) guṭaka guṭaka. [Tel.] n. A single gulp. ఒక్కసారి మింగగలిగినంతది. గుటగుట guṭa-guṭa. adv. (Anuk of a growl, a growling sound.) Aloud. (Also of a gulping, bubbling, simmering sound) Rustingly, crashingly. 'బెబ్బులుల్ గుహలనిర్భీతి గూర్కుచుకానజిటుకన్న గుటగుటార్భటుల ' Suriya. iv. 60. గుటుకు గుటుక్కు or గుడుక్కు guṭuku. n. A gulp, a sob. గుటుక్కను or గుటుక్కుమను to sob, gulp: to die, expire. దాన్ని గుటుక్కునమింగెను he swallowed it at a gulp.

(p. 397) grasiñcu grasinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To swallow, devour. మ్రింగు. To eat తిను. గ్రస్తము grastamu. adj. Swallowed; seized; involved in; slurred, as an omitted word. విచారగ్రస్తులై plunged in grief. అన్యాయగ్రస్తుడైనాడు he is a victim to injustice.

To swallow or devour. మింగు గ్రుక్కలుమింగు to desire. అపేక్షపడు; to hesitate సంకోచించు. గ్రుక్కిలి or గ్రుక్కిళ్లు grukkili. n. He who thinks or ponders. చింతించువాడు. చింతన chintana. n. Thinking over. Reiteration, పలుమారుతలచుట. చింతన చెప్పు to reiterate. చింతనలు investigations, enquiries. చింతనము chintanamu. n. Thought, reflection, study of a book, Reiteration. చింతనీయము or చింత్యము fit to be considered or thought over. చింతాక్రాంతుడు chintā-krāntuḍu. adj. Grieved, sorrowful, swallowed up with grief. చింతామణి chintā-maṇi. n. The wishing stone, a fabulous gem or magic ruby, imagined to yield its possessor all that he wishes. The name of a certain kind of pill. The term is metaphorically used in the titles of many books and may there be explained as a 'key, analysis, essay, or treatise.' Thus the ఆంధ్రభాషాచింతామణి is a Key to the Telugu language. వైద్య చింతామణి a key to Pharmacy. చింతించు, చింతిల్లు or చింతలు chintinṭsu. v. n. To think on, to muse, to ponder, to reflect. To be sorry for, to regret, to grieve or be afflicted వగచు. చింతితము chintitamu. adj. Mused on, considered.
