(p. 75) amṛtamu a-mritamu. [Skt.] n. Nectar, ambrosia. Water, milk, clarified butter, the residue of a sacrifice. Final emancipation from matter and absorption in the Deity. సుధ, ఉదకము, దుగ్ధము, ఘృతము, యజ్ఞశేష ద్రవ్యము, మోక్షము, (వాడుకగా) మజ్జిగ. పంచామృతములు the five nectars, namely, water, milk, curds, ghee and honey. అమృతమునకు అంటులేదు nothing can defile buttermilk. వానిది అమృతహస్తము. he has a healing hand. వానిది అమృతవాక్కు his tongue is inspired. అమృతముహూర్తము n. A husband. నా పురుషుడు my husband. మహాపురుషుడు a great person. పురుషకారము an attempt of man, human effort, పురుష ప్రయత్నము. పురుషోత్తముడు purush-ōttamuḍu. n. Lit: the best of men. The Almighty. పురుషము purushamu. n. The principal thing or object in life, i.e., ధర్మార్థకామమోక్షములు the gratification of desire, acquirement of wealth, discharge of duty, and final emancipation. ఇది చేస్తే పుణ్యమా పురుషార్థమా if one does this, does it bring merit or the satisfaction of one's desires?
