Emigration, fleeing, flight from home for fear of the king or a hostile army, expatriation. స్వదేశములో నుండడమునకు ఉపద్రవమువచ్చచి పరదేశమునకు లేచిపోవడము. వలసతీయు or వలసపోవు to fly from home for fear of an enemy. అన్నపువలసపోవు to emigrate in search of food. వలసపిట్ట valasa-pitta. n. The golden plover.

(p. 1174) vidēśamu vi-dēṣamu. n. A foreign country, aborad, any place away from home. పరదేశము, అన్యదేశము. విదేశస్థుడు vi-de-ṣa-sthuḍu. n. One who remains abroad, పరదేశమునందుండు వాడు. విదేశి, విదేశీయుడు or విదేశ్యుడు vi-ḍēṣi. n. A foreigner, పరదేశస్థుడు. 'విదేశ్యుచెరచు.' A. iv. 298. విదేశగతుడు vi-dēṣa-gatuḍu. n. (p. 1377) svāti svāti. [Skt.] n. Arcturus, the fifteenth lunar asterism. చిత్తకు అవలలినక్షత్రము, పదిహేనో నక్షత్రము. స్వాతికర్తి the fifteenth counstellation in which the sun happens to be for thirteen days in the month of October or November. స్వాతి చిప్పలు the oysters that gaps expecting drops of rain in Swāti. తమ రాక కొరకు స్వాతిచిప్పలవలె నోరు తెరచుకొని యున్నాము we look out with thirsty expectation for your arrival. స్వాతికొంగలు a kind of cranes or storks which emigrate in this month. స్వాతివాన genial showers supposed to impregnate oysters with pearls.
