(p. 79) aradēśiparadēśi aradēṣi-paradēṣi. [Skt.] n. A mendicant, a pilgrim. తిరిపెగాడు, యాత్రకు పోయేవాడు.
అవధి
(p. 94) avadhi avadhi. [Skt.] n. Boundary, period, time, conclusion, end. (colloq.) Strait, calamity, misfortune. పొలిమేర, కాలము అవసానము, ఆపద. శరీరపతనావధి as long as one lives. వానికి ఒక అవధి వచ్చినది a misfortune happened to him. అవధిక్రయపత్రము a mortgage bond with the penalty of forfeiting the mortgage after a limited time. అవధీరితము ava-dhīritamu. [Skt.] adj. Disregarded, scorned, despised. అవమానింపబడిన, తిరస్కరింపబడిన అవధూతము adj. Removed, tossed aside, cast away, thrown. తోసివేయబడిన. అవధూతుడు ava-dhūtuḍu. [Skt.] n. A naked mendicant. One who has renounced all worldly feeling and obligation. దిగంబరుడుగా తిరిగే సన్యాసి.
కావడి
(p. 278) kāvaḍi kāvaḍi. [Tel.] n. A 'bangy' or yoke, carried by men; like that used by milk maids in England. (Infl. కావటి. plu. కావళ్లు.) కంచికావడి a yoke borne about by certain Saiva mendicants. కావడివాడు a carrier. కావటిటప్పాలు the bangy post. కావటిబద్ద the beam of a yoke. కావటికొమ్ము the tip or end of the yoke. కావటిమట్టు the bottom of the net work attached to each end of the yoke. కావటిఉట్లు the rope net work forming a lodgment at each end of a yoke. కావటి చేర్లు the cords forming this, కావటియుట్ల తాళ్లు. కావడించు kāvaḍinṭsu. v. t. To carry in such a yoke.

The stream which runs in 'three beds,' i.e., the Ganges, fabled to flow through heaven, earth and hades. త్రిపుమడ్రము tri-punḍramu. n. The triple mark worn across the forehead by Saivites. (ఊర్ధ్వపుండ్రము is the upright line worn by the Vaishnavites.) త్రిపుట tri-puṭa. n. The name of a certain musical metre. ఏడక్షరములకాలము. త్రిపురము tri-puramu. n. The name of a district of Bengal (now called Tipperah) called after its kind, Tripura, a giant who was vanquished by Siva: who, as 'slayer of Tripura' derives hence the name త్రిపురజిత్తు, త్రిపుసూదనుడు, త్రిపురాంతకుడు, త్రిపురారి, &c. త్రిపురదేవి or త్రిపురసుందరి the Bonạ Dea, Venus. త్రిఫలము tri-phalamu. n. The three species of myrobalan; the Phyllanthea emblica కరక, Terminalia chebula తాడి, and Terminalia speciosa ఉసిరిక.
దాసరి
(p. 590) dāsari dāsari. [from Skt. దాస.] n. A Sudra or Pariah mendicant who is a worshipper of Vishṇu. దాసరికోరచేప or దాసరికొయ్య dāsari-kōra-chēpa. n. A sort of fish called Zeus equula. Russell, Vol. i. plate. 65. దాసరయ్య, దాసరిగాడు or దాసరితాబేలు dāsa-rayya. n. The hermit tortoise, found on land in secluded spots. నల్లదాసరిగాడు the black tortoise. దాసరిపాము dāsari-pāmu. n. (p. 839) pravrajya pra-vrajya. [Skt.] n. A roaming, travelling about, (particularly as a religious mendicant.) Abandonment of the world. కార్యార్థపర్యటనము, సన్యాసాశ్రమము. ప్రవ్రజితుడు an ascetic.
బుడిబుడి
(p. 890) buḍibuḍi buḍi-buḍi. [Tel. anuk.] adj. Easy, gentle. Trifling, petty, అల్పము, బుడిబుడినడ a gentle pace. బుడిబుడిమాటలు muttered words. బుడిబుడికన్నీరు trickling tears. బుడిబుడియేడ్పు whimpering. బుడిబుడివేల్పులు petty gods. 'ద్వి హరినణంచుటయొ బ్రహ్మాది దేవతల, బొరిమార్చుటయొ బుడిబుడివేలుపులను, వంచుట చోద్యమే.' BD. iv. 648. n. Haste, hurry, flurry. తొట్రుపాటు. బుడుపడు buḍi-paḍu. v. n. To be agitated, తొట్రుపడు. బుడిబుడిక్కులవారు or బుడుబుడుక్కులవారు buḍi-buḍikkula-vāru. n. A certain class of mendicants. బుడిబుళ్లుపోవు buḍi-buḷḷu-pōvu. v. n. To be surprised, or astonished, ఆశ్చర్యపడు. 'ద్వి అంబికేశుడుతొల్లినలిబడిపెట్టి, యిమ్ముగాజనులెల్లనెరుగగనిపుడు, పడివెట్టిగిన్నరబ్రహ్మయ్యగారి, కెడపకయనినరుల్ బుడిబుళ్లువోవ, వినిచూడవచ్చితివినవె.' BD. v. 388.
భిక్షకుడు
(p. 923) bhikṣakuḍu bhikshu-kuḍu. n. A mendicant ascetic or monk. A beggar, mendicant, pauper. భిక్షువు bhikshuvu. n. A celibate, బ్రహ్మచారి. An ascetic or monk. సన్యాసి. 'అచటినాలవజాతి హలముఖాత్తవిభూతి నాదిభిక్షువుభైక్షమైన మాన్చు.' Swa. i. 3. టీ ఆదిభిక్షువు, మొదటి భిక్షుకుడైన శివునియొక్క, భైక్షమైన, భిక్షావ్యాపారము నైనప్పటికిని.
