(p. 816) pō pō. (The infinitive of పోవు) అతడు పోజూచి seeing that he was gone. పో pō. (Imperative of పోవు.) v. n. Go, పొమ్ము. In many places this is a mere expletive, as Go to. (in English). It denotes certainty or disregard, నిశ్చయమును లేక ఆనాదరమును తెలుపును. 'తెచ్చెదంబో వసుదేవమాను.' ఉ. హరి. v. పోక pōka. n. Going. పోవడము. Conduct, behaviour, నడవడి. పోకలు n. plu. Ruin, నాశము. నెలదినాలుగా రాకడపోకడలేదు there has been no inter course between us for a month (literally going and coming.) పోకడపెట్టు pōkaḍa-peṭṭu. v. a. To drive away, to remove, పోగొట్టు. To sell, అమ్ము. విక్రయించు. దాన్ని ఎట్లైనను పోకడపెట్టు get rid of it in any way. పోకలాడి pōkal-āḍi. (పోకలు+ఆడి) n. A coquette, వగలాడి. R. iii. 137. పోకాలు pōkālu. v. n. To go, as anger, sorrow, &c. పోవు. పోకరి pōkiri. n. A wicked man, a villain rogue, lewd fellow, blackguard, దుర్మార్గుడు adj. Naughty, wicked, mischievous, unprincipled. పోకరిమాట an obsence word. పోకిళ్లు pōkiḷḷu. n. plu. Idle wishes, fopperies, whims, freaks, whimsies. పోకిళ్లమారి a fop, an epicure.

(p. 858) baṇḍa banḍa. [Tel.] n. A rock, a block or slab of stone. రాయి, వెడల్పురాయి. A short pounder or pestle without a ferrule, పొన్నులేని రోకలి, పొట్టిరోకలి. A much used block, a worn out stone. అరిగినది. (Meta-phorically), a block head, an obstinate, stubborn man. adj. Shameless, importunate. Mischievous, naughty, wicked, obscene, indecent, ఆకతాయి. బండాట banḍāṭa. (బండ+ఆట.) n. Mischief, naughtiness, ఆకతాయితనము. బండవ్యాజ్యము a litigious case. బండడు, బండ or బండగుడు banḍaḍu. n. A dullard, a mischievous person, a stupid man. బండవాడు banḍavāḍu. n. A class of beggars, who go with a stone in their hands with which they threaten to beat out their brains unless relieved, రాయియెత్తుకొని వచ్చి అడుగుకొనేవాడు.

(p. 1009) muraḷi muraḷi. [Skt.] n. A flute, a pipe. పిల్లనగ్రోవి. A kind of a horse's pace. అశ్వధారావిశేషము. మురళించు muraḷinṭsu. v. a. To scorn, set at naught, తిరస్కరించు. 'ద్వి ముత్తెపుచిప్పలమురళించుమోము.' HD. i. 571.

(p. 1232) vyatīpātamu vy-atī-pātamu. [Skt.] n. The seventeenth of the astrological Yogas, ఒకగ్రహయోగము, పంచాంగయోగభేదము. A portent, a prodigy indicating calamity, as a comet, earthquake, &c. అత్యుత్పాతము, ఉపద్రవము. Applied figuratively to a naughty, troublesome, mischievous child. Contempt, అనాదరము. Fleeing from a battle, యుద్ధమున వెనుదీయుట. ఒరేపోరా వ్యతీపాత go along, you fool! 'అలుకహిమరశ్మినిజకిరణాళినించి యామహాతాపమణగింప నప్పుడుష్ణశీత సంయోగమునన వ్యతీపాతసమజ్ఞ బొడమెనొక్కడు ముజ్ఝగంబులువడంక.'
