(p. 62) aparādhamu apa-rādhamu. [Skt.] n. A fault, sin, guilt, (commonly) a fine, punishment, penalty. శిక్షార్హమైన కర్మము, పాపము, నేరము, (వాడుకగా) నేరమునకై పుచ్చుకొనే రూకలు. అపరాధమును మన్నించు or కాచు to pardon, overlook. అపరాధక్షమయు to beg pardon. అపరాధము వేయు to inflict a fine. అపరాధముతీయు to take a fine. అపరాధి n. An offender, delinquent. నేరము చేసినవాడు. అపరాద్ధము adj Criminal, guilty, erring, faulty. అపరాధియైన, పాపియైన.

(p. 94) avadhi avadhi. [Skt.] n. Boundary, period, time, conclusion, end. (colloq.) Strait, calamity, misfortune. పొలిమేర, కాలము అవసానము, ఆపద. శరీరపతనావధి as long as one lives. వానికి ఒక అవధి వచ్చినది a misfortune happened to him. అవధిక్రయపత్రము a mortgage bond with the penalty of forfeiting the mortgage after a limited time. అవధీరితము ava-dhīritamu. [Skt.] adj. Disregarded, scorned, despised. అవమానింపబడిన, తిరస్కరింపబడిన అవధూతము adj. Removed, tossed aside, cast away, thrown. తోసివేయబడిన. అవధూతుడు ava-dhūtuḍu. [Skt.] n. A naked mendicant. One who has renounced all worldly feeling and obligation. దిగంబరుడుగా తిరిగే సన్యాసి.

(p. 207) oṭṭu oṭṭu. [Tel.] n. An oath శపథము. A penalty, curse, ban, interdiction నిరోధము. నిద్రపట్టితే ఒట్టు a curse on me if I slept! ఆ దారి చూపు, నేను పోకపోతే ఒట్టు shew me the way and it shall be my fault if I do not go. See ఆన. ఒట్టుపెట్టుకొను oṭṭu-peṭṭu-konu. v. i. To take an oath. ఒట్టుపెట్టు oṭṭu-peṭṭu. v. i. to adjure, to impose a vow or solemn promise. T. ii. 98. To ban or forbid by a curse. ఒట్టువిడుచు to remove an oath or interdiction ఆనవిడుచు.

(p. 614) dōṣa dōsha. [Skt.] n. Night. రాత్రి. The arm, భుజము. దోషము dōshamu. n. Harm, evil. A fault, crime. An error, mistake, తప్పు. Sin, పాపము. A bad sign: a fatal symptom in illness. ప్రమాణముయొక్క దోషము the penalty of an oath. దోషములేదు there is no harm done. దోచుకొన్న దోషము the guilt of robbery. స్పర్శదోషము the do-filement caused by a touch. దోషగుణములు పుట్టినవి bad symptoms appeared. దోషకారి dōsha-kāri. n. An evil doer. దోషము చేయువాడు, దుష్టుడు, దుష్టురాలు, దోషజ్ఞుడు dōsha-gnyuḍu. n. A physician, one skilled in diseases. వైద్యుడు. A learned man విద్వాంసుడు, దోషము నెరిగినవాడు. దోషాకరుడు dōshākaruḍu. n. The moon. చంద్రుడు. దోషాచరుడు dōshā-charuḍu. n. A flend that 'walks at night.' రాక్షసుడు. దోషి dōshi. n. A sinner. దోషముగలవాడు. A criminal. దోషించు dōshinṭsu. v. n.To turn out ill. To come on (as bad symptoms.) దోషముపుట్టు. అతనికి దోషించినది bad symptoms appeared in his case.

(p. 1004) muddatu muḍdalu. [H.] n. A period or time. ముద్దతుకౌలు muddatu-kaulu. n. A temporary or conditional agreement. ముద్దతుక్రయము muddatu-krayamu. n. A foreclosed mortgage, a conditional sale with a penalty attached. ముద్దతుహుండి muddatu-hunḍi. n. A bill payable after a stipulated interval.
