(p. 383) gūḍhamu gūḍhamu. [Skt.] n. A secret. రహస్యము. adj. Hidden, secret, abstruse. దాచబడిన. గూఢచారి gūḍha-chāri. n. A secret emissary, a spy, an agent or messenger. గూఢజుడు gūdha-juḍu. n. One of unknown birth or uncertain parentage. గూఢపాత్తు gūḍha-pāttu. n. Lit. One whose feet do not appear. A serpent, a snake. గూఢరత్నము gūḍha-ratnamu. n. A game among girls, like 'Hunt the slipper.' గూఢరత్నసికతాన్వేషణంబు. Vasu. iii. 37. గూఢసాక్షి a witness who knows the real secret; or a secretly hired witness.

(p. 527) tithi tithi. [Skt.] n. A Tithi, a lunar day. The date by computation of lunar days, by which all religious and funeral rites (Parentalia) are regulated. రేపు నా తండ్రి గారికి తిథి గనుక రాను as to-morrow is the anniversary of my father's death I cannot come.

(p. 767) putruḍu or పుత్రకుడు putruḍu. [Skt.] n. A son. ఔరసపుత్రుడు or ఔరసుడు aurasa-putruḍu. n. A legitimate son. దత్తపుత్రుడు or దత్తుడు patta-putruḍu. n. An adopted son. పుత్రి or పుత్రిక putri. n. A duaghter. A copy or transcript from an original. పుత్రవాత్సల్యము parental affection, love towards children. పుత్రోత్సవము putr-ōṭsavamu. n. Rejoicings on account of the birth of a son. పుత్రకామేష్టి putra-kām-ēshṭi. n. A religious sacrifice performed for the purpose of obtaining a son. పుత్రజీవిక putra-jīvika. n. A tree, a species of Nageia Rox. iii. 786. పుత్రపాత్రపారంపర్యముగా putra-pautra-pāram-paryamu-gā. adv. From generation to generation. ఈ నేలను పుత్రపాత్రపారంపర్యముగా అనుభవింపవలసినది the land is to be held by him and his heirs for ever.

(p. 1083) reṇṭamu rentamu. [Tel.] n. A fold, as of cloth, folding. మడుపు. రెంటాన renḷdna. adj. Double folded, folded. రెండుగామడిచిన. Thus. మృతిమర్త్యురెంటాననిడ్డ on doubling up the corpse. A. vi. 21. రెంటెము renṭemu. n. A cloth woven with a double thread. ౛మిలిపోగునేత వస్త్రము. 'పులుగు రాయనిచట్టుపలవన్నె నొరవట్టుహొంబట్టుజిలుగు రెంటెంబుతోడ.' A. i. 13. టీ దుప్పటితోడను.

(p. 1151) vātsalyamu , వాత్సల్యత or వత్సలత vātsal-yamu. [Skt. from వత్సలము.] n. Parental love, fondness. విశ్వాసము, పుత్రాదులయందగలుగుప్రేమ. పుత్రవాత్సల్యము paternal kindness.

(p. 1269) saṅkaramu sankaramu [Skt.] n. Mixing, blending. Dust, sweepings. మిశ్రమము, ఊడ్చిన కసవుకుప్ప, పెంట. వర్ణసంకరము a mixture of castes. adj. Confusedly mix ing or mingling. Mixed, adulterated, of mixed race or caste, of impure origin from intermixture of castes. మిశ్రితమైన, కలియగలుపుగానుండే. సంకరజాతి or సంకరకులము a mixed caste. సంకర జాతివాడు a half caste, a person of mixed parentage. సంకరజాడ్యము a complication of diseases. సంకరభాష a mixed language or impure dialect.
