(p. 251) karidūpamu kari-dūpamu. [Tel. another form of కరదూపము.] n. Dirt; particularly cobwebs; soot; the blackness produced by wood smoke, as distinct from కాటుక or lampblack.

(A. iv. 151. on which the note says 'జువ్వున పులుసు తిన్నందువల్ల తీసుక పొయ్యేనోటిపండ్లు.') చలిపని a cooling operation, శైత్యోపచారము. చలిబిండి ṭsali-binḍi. n. The name of a certain plant. చలిమల ṭsali-mala. n. The hill of snow, i.e., హిమాచలము. చలిమిడి ṭsalimiḍi. n. A mixture of rice flour and sugar బెల్లము కలిపిన పిండి. చలిమిరి or చల్మిరి ṭsali-miri. n. Coolness చలువ, శైత్యము. A cake G. i. 114. చలివావు ṭsaliv āpu. (చలి+పావు.) v. n. To warm, to soothe or comfort బు౛్జగించు. చలివాలు ṭsali-vālu. (చలి+పాలు.) n. A sign ఆనవాలు. చలివెలుగు ṭsali-velugu. n. (p. 449) cuccu ṭsuṭsu. [Tel.] n. A goat. మేక, బర్రెచుచ్చాలమెట్లు slippers made of buffalo, goat or cow hide. A. vi. 91. A sorrowful cry. చుచ్చాయనిపించు to soothe; to silence. చుచ్చుకొట్టు to sigh, to cry in sorrow.

(p. 452) cokku ṭsokku. [Tel.] v. n. To be intoxicated or stupefied. To enjoy oneself to excess. To pine, languish with desire. పరవశమగు. To dry ఎండు. n. Intoxication, stupefaction, faintness. పారవశ్యము, మూర్ఛ. Falling in love, మోహము. చొక్కాకు ṭsokk-āku. n. A dead or dried leaf. రాలిన ఆకు, ఎండాకు. చొక్కిడు ṭsokk-iḍu. (చొక్కు+ఇడు.) v. t. (p. 890) buzjagiñcu buḍzḍzaginṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To caress, or fondle. To pacify, console, calm, lull. To cajole, wheedle, persuade, ఉపలాలించు. బు౛్జగింపు. బు౛్జవము, బు౛్జగింత or బు౛్జగము buḍzzagimpu. n. Flattering, soothing, consolation. సాంత్వనము, ఓదార్పు. బు౛్జగింపుమాట a consoling or flattering word, సాంత్వనవాక్కు. (p. 1253) śiśiramu ṣiṣiramu. [Skt.] adj. Cold, frigid, chilly, freezing. చల్లని. n. Dew , frost.నీహారము, మంచు. The dewy season, the cold season, winter. మాఘపాల్గుణమాసములు. శిశిరకరుడు ṣiṣir-karuḍu. n. (p. 1269) saṃ or సమ్ sam. [Skt.] prefix. When used with Skt. nouns and adjectives, it means beautiful, చక్కని. Much, very, మిక్కిలి. Places before verbs, it means Well, చక్కగా.
