A halter, a tether, a rope to tie a cow's legs when it is being milked. ఉరితీయు or ఉరిపోయి uri-tīyu. v. t. To hang: strangle. ఉరు పోసికొను uri-pōsi-konu. v. i. To hang one self. ఉరియాడు uri-yāḍu. (p. 376) gudiguṃzalu gudi-gunzalu. n. Stick planted at the entrance of a pen or fold. పశువుల దొడ్డిద్వారమునకు నిలువుగా పాతిన కర్రలు. గుదిగ్రుచ్చు or గుదికూర్చు gudi-gruṭsṭsu. v. n. To arrange. సవరించు. 'మున్నిటికథలు గుదిగ్రుచ్చుకొనిచెప్పుకొని పోవవలదు.' L. vii. 74. గుదిత్రాడు gudi-trāḍu. n. A halter, a tether. దూడ కాలికి కట్టే తాడు. గుదిత్రోయు to tie up the legs and push away కాళ్లు కట్టి త్రోయు.

(p. 588) dāmenatāḍu dāmena-tāḍu. [Tel.] n. A cord, a tether: a long cord, fastened to a stake or tree at each end, to which cattle are secured by short halters.

(p. 693) paggamu paggamu. [Tel.] n. A tether, cord, rein, halter. A rope used by a weaver to stretch the warp on. A churning rope, తరిత్రాడు. A particular measure (as a chain) of land. చిన్న పగ్గము నాలుగు మూరల జేసెడు, పెద్దపగ్గము అయిదు మూరలజేసెడు. రెండుపగ్గాలదూరము twice a tether's length off. 'హరులపగ్గములచే నంటితారొప్పంగ.' B. x. 20.

(p. 879) bāri bāri. [Tel.] n. Annoyance, trouble. ఉపద్రవము, తొందర, వ్యధ, హింస, నిర్బంధము. The slope at the side of a great well for bullocks to run down in drawing up water, by a rope running over a pulley. కపిలెయెద్దులకు నిర్బంధముగా నేర్పరిచినదారి. An elephant's tether. ఏనుగుకాలు కట్టెడు గొలుసు. బారివిడుచు to gallop, పరుగెత్తించు. బారిగొర్రె a sheep let go at a feast to be run for, as a victim or prize. 'గోముననిన్నాళ్లుకొడుకనిన్ బ్రోచి, గోమలికినిబారిగొరియగానొసగ, వలసెబోమల్లెపూవంటిరుమాలు, దొంగింపవెండ్రుకల్ తూగిచిందాడ, నించువిల్తునిబారినీగగానేల.' Sār. D. v. 295. why sacrifice yourself to love? మన్మథుని బారిపడినాడు he fell a victim to love. పులిబారికి ప్పినలేడికైవడిన్ like a fawn escaping from a tiger. బారి or భారి bāri. adj. Great, large, big. బారివాండ్లు well to do people, rich folks.

(p. 879) bārī or బారి bārī. [Tel.] n. An elephant's tether, ఏనుగు కాలుకు కట్టెడుగొలుసు.

(p. 1093) laṅkiñcu lankintsu. [Tel.] v. a. To join, unite. తగిలించు, చేర్చు. To link or couple together, as two bullocks, పెనవేయు. 'గు౛్జుకోడెలబట్టుకొని ప్రీతిలంకించియుండ లంకియతోడగండుమీరి పారెనక్కోడియల్.' M. XII. iv. 39. To disgrace. అవమానించు. లంకించుకొను lankinṭsu-konu. v. a. To seize, or take by artifice. చెయి చిక్కించుకొను, తంత్రముగా వలలో వేసికొను. లంకె or లంకియ lanke. n. Coupling or tying two animals together. A link, connection. రెండుపశువుల మెడకు తాడుకట్టడము, పెన, కూడిక, సంబంధము, తగులుపాటు, కూర్చడము, సంగము. 'నీకునునాకున్ దైవంబులకెవేసెను.' Vish. vi. 31. ఆ రెండు చెరువులు లంకెలుగానున్నవి those two tanks are connected, lit: are as links. వానికి దుడ్డుకులంకె he is much attached to money. 'భార్గవతలమున భర్గస్వామికి కీలించెద లంకెగకేల్ముణుతలు.' H. iv. 303. లంకె or లంకెమానిసి lanke. n. A slave, vassal. బంటు, దాసుడు. లంకెవలుపు lanke-palupu. n. A tether that ties two animals together. లంకెపాటు lanke-pāṭu. n. Clinging together. ఒకటితోనొకటి కరుచుకొని యుండడము. Connection, తగులము. 'సీ లలనపాదంబున లంకెపాటై యుండి రాజనునేనూపురంబులార.' R. v. 280. లంకెపీట lanke-pīṭa. n. A wooden plank used in linking cattle together. పశువులను పెనవేయుపలక. లంకెపెట్టు or లంకెవేయు lanke-peṭṭu. v. a. To link together, తగులు పరుచు, పెనవేయు.
