(దూది+ఏకు.) v. a. To clean cotton. దూదేకులవాడు a man of the caste who are cotton cleaners. దూదేకులు cotton fluff. దూదేకులపిట్ట dūdi-ēkula-piṭṭa. n. The Grey Shrike, Lanius lahtora. పెద్దకిరిటిగాడు. (F.B.I.) దూదెర dūdera. n. A small kind of field bug which attacks grain in the ear. There are two kinds of it. ఎర్రదూదెర and పచ్చదూదెర.

(p. 745) pāla pāla. [Tel. from పాలు milk.] n. The bird called the Indian Roller, boracias indica (F.B.I.) the flight of which is consulted as an omen. It is erroneously called a blue jay. Various varieties are called గొర్రెపాలపిట్ట and మేకపాలపిట్ట. See Jerdon No. 243. A treatise on Omens says. 'పాలగరుడతప్ప పక్షిజాతులకెల్ల నెడమమండికుడికి నెగయవలయు.' పాల or పాలతీగ n. A certain tree, ఇక్షుగంధ, క్షీరికావృక్షము; of which there are various species as, అడవిపాలతీగ Nerium reticulatum, కాకిపాలతీగ Asclepias asthmatica, దూదిపాలతీగ Asclepias volubilis, మట్టపాలతీగ Convolvulus paniculatus; చిరుపాల, అనగా ఉటని. Q. మన్నుపాల, అనగా ఉత్పల కృష్ణ. Q. పాలపండు, అనగా కనిష్ట. Q. Various species of the 'milk plant' are called మేకపాలతీగ, కుక్కపాలతీగ, &c. పాల adj. White. పాలవెండి pure silver. పాలకన్ను pāla-kannu. n. S. i. 202. పాలటేకు or పాలతేకు pāla-ṭēku. n. The white wooded teak tree. పాలడ pālaḍa. (పాలు+అడుగు.) n. A shell used as a spoon or ladle in giving milk to a child. పాలతుత్తము or పాలతుత్తరము pāta-tuttamu. n. White vitriol. పాలపండ్లు pāla-panḍlu. n. Milk teeth. The white shark. సముద్రమందు మనుష్యులను భక్షించే పెద్ద చేప. పాలాకు pāl-āku. n. A certain herb. చిటిపాలాకు is one sort. పాలానుగు pālānugu. n. The white gourd, ఆనుగుతీగె, దుగ్ధతుంబి. See పాలు.

(p. 811) poralu , పొర్లు, పొరలాడు, పొర్లాడు, పొరలబడు or పొర్లబడు poralu. [Tel.] v. n. To roll over, to roll on the ground; to wallow. To be in excess, to over-flow. To continue, ప్రవర్తిల్లు.' యదూద్వహుండు పుష్పతల్పంబుపై జేరి పొరలుచుండు.' Pal. 233. 'పురహరుడు మున్ను, సాధింపవచ్చిన చందమున నేడు, పొరలినకోపమున పొంగుచున్నాడు.' To wish, long for, like, కోరు, ఇచ్ఛించు.' సుస్థిరభుజశక్తి నైదుపదిసేయరు దత్తినతక్క మట్టి కై, పొరలరధీ శుడీకమలబుద్ధి కళూరిక దక్క.' A. ii. 39. టీ మట్టికై, భూమికై, పొరలరు, అభిలషింపరు. To be crossed or covered, as a cow. ఆవుపొర్లినతర్వాత after the cow was crossed. మాటపొర్లవద్దు do not break your word. ఆ కల్లుకుండ పొర్లిపొర్లి ఉన్నది the toddy pot is overflowing. పొరలు, పొరలిక, పొర్లిక or పొరలాట n. Rolling over or over flowing. పొరలుదండము a bow or salutation made while rolling on the ground. పొరలుపెట్టు Same as పొరలు. పొర్లుకట్ట porlu-kaṭṭa. n. A bank or bund raised to prevent water from overflowing. పొరలించు, పొర్లించు, పొరలుచు or పొరల్చు poralinṭsu. v. a. To roll. To turn over. మాటపొర్లించినాడు he changed his statement or prevaricated.
