'పిట్టవునీవు వారినిధి బెద్దలకెల్లను బెద్ద వెల్లిగా దొట్టు నొకానొకప్పుడతి దూరముతుంగ తరంగసంఘముల్ బిట్టడుచున్' P. i. 546. టీ వెలల్లిగాదొట్టు. వెల్లువగా ప్రవహించును. To stop up from flowing ఎగదట్టు. The best sort is called చిరువేరుతొగరు; the next sort is మారుబేరము తొగరు; and the worst, మడ్డితొగరు.) A certain fragrant flower. adj. Red. ఎర్రని. తొగరుమల్లి togaru-malli n. A sort of crystal. తొగరు ముక్కుపులుగు the scarlet beaked bird, i.e., a parrot. తొగరుచెట్టు togaru-cheṭṭu. n. A tree from which a red dye is made. Logwood Morinda citrifolia. తొగరుకొను togaru-konu. v. n. To become red. ఎర్రనగు.

The name of a district of Bengal (now called Tipperah) called after its kind, Tripura, a giant who was vanquished by Siva: who, as 'slayer of Tripura' derives hence the name త్రిపురజిత్తు, త్రిపుసూదనుడు, త్రిపురాంతకుడు, త్రిపురారి, &c. త్రిపురదేవి or త్రిపురసుందరి the Bonạ Dea, Venus. త్రిఫలము tri-phalamu. n. The three species of myrobalan; the Phyllanthea emblica కరక, Terminalia chebula తాడి, and Terminalia speciosa ఉసిరిక.
