The Common Madras Bulbul, Molpastes hæmorrhons. తురకపికిలిపిట్ట the Southern Red-whiskered Bulbul, Otocompsa fuscicaudata తోకపిగిలిపిట్ట the Indian Paradise Flycatcher, Terpsiphone paradisi. పొదపిగిలిగాడు the White-browed Bulbul, Pycnonotus luteolus. కొండపొదపిగిలిగాడు the yellow-throated Bulbul, Pycnonotus xantheleemus. పికిలిచెండు a tuft made of the feathers of this bird. పికిలిపూసలు pikili-pūsalu. n. plu. A kind of beads. 'గోరోజన, మిర్రులున్, పికిలిపూసల్, మోవిపండులు, కుందేళ్లు.' R. ii. 4.

(p. 798) pai or పయి pai. [Tel.] n. The upper part of any thing, the outer part or exterior మీదు, ఉపరిభాగము. adj. Upper, higher superior. External. Extra. పైచుంగుడి petty sums that remain over. వానిపైబట్ట the garment he had on. ఆపైయేడు the next year, either before or after, ముందుఏడు. పైవిరోధము seeming enmity. పైపనులు the further acts; also, out-door work. వాడు నాకు పైచెయ్యిగానుండును he is my superior. వట్టిపైమాటలు this is mere talk. పైమినుకు mere external beauty. పైవెల్లువ freshes in a river. దానికి అందరును పైబడుదురు all are eager to get it. పైకొను or పయికొను pai-konu. v. n. and a. To caress, పక్కలపైనబడు. 'అయ్యయయ్యయటంచు నెయ్యంబుమీరగా పలుమారు పైబక్కబడకయుంట.' N. ix. 103. పైపడు or పైబడు pai-paḍu. v. n. To fall upon, attack, పైకొను, కవియు. To exceed మీరు ఆ గుర్రమునకు అందరును పైబడుచున్నారు all of them are contending for the horse. M. x. i. 145. పైపాటు pai-pāṭu. n. An attack or encounter, కవియుట. పైపైగా pai-pai-gā. adv. Easily, superficially, cursorily, సులభముగా. పైయెద్దు or పైవన్నెయెద్దు pai-y-eddu. n. An ox with the belly alone white, called a sheeted ox. పైవిలాసము pai-vilāsamu. n. A superscription or address on a letter.

(p. 760) pīke pīke. [Tel.] n. The wind-pipe, కంషనాళము. A pipe. The reed used in blowing musical instruments. ఊదువాద్యములలోని క్రోవిపుల్ల. గొంతుపీకె the windpipe. A leaf rolled up like a cigar, కాళెవలెచుట్టిన ఆకుచుట్ట. A cigar which is partly smoked and thrown away, తాగి మిగిలినచుట్ట. పీకె బిళ్లలు pīke-biḷḷalu. n. A kind of ornament attached to a bed. సకినెలు. పీకెపారు pīke-pāru. v. n. To become flat. చప్పటయగు. To become lean, కృశించు.

(p. 772) pulasaramu pulasaramu. n. Indigestion. నా కడుపులో పులసరమున్నది I am suffering from indigestion. Enthusiasm, spirit. ఉద్రాకము. పులసరి pulasari. adj. Proud. గర్వముగల. పులసరితనము pulasari-tanamu n. Presumption, pride, arrogance. గర్వము. 'ద్వి కలవానియట్లు నిక్కంబునీవొక్క, పులసరితనమున బుచ్చితికొలుచు.' భల్లా. iv. 590.

(p. 832) pratyēkamu praty-ēkamu. [Skt.] adj. Separate, distinct, వేరువేరు. ప్రత్యేకముగా praty-ēkamu-gā. adv. Separately, distinctly, in private, alone. ప్రత్యేకించు praty-ēkinṭsu. v. a. To separate, వేరువేరుచేయు.
