(p. 902) bailu, bayilu or బయలు bailu. [Tel.] n. An open field, plain, area. మైదానము. The outside, the exterior. The sky, the expanse of heaven. బాహ్యము. 'పండిన చేలెల్ల బయలుగా మేసి.' (HD. i. 398.) they devoured the corn fields and reduced them to a bare plain. బయలాడుమాట a voice uttered (or heard) from heaven. 'ధారుణిబడిబయలు దన్నుచు నేడ్చు.' (BD. iii. 878.) the baby was kicking with its legs upwards. adj. Open, clear. బైలుదేరు, బయిలుదేరు, or బయలుదేరు bailu-dēru. v. n. To come forth, break out; to begin, start, set out; to come to light, result, appear, be discovered; to prove true or false. To be shed, or to burst forth as tears, తానును ఒక మగవాడుగా బైలుదేరినాడు he set out as if he was a big man. గడ్డబైలుదేరినది a boil rose. వెన్న బైలుదేరినప్పుడు కుండ పగిలినది when the butter was coming the churn burst. ఇల్లువిడిచి బైలుదేరగానే on leaving the house. ఆ ప్రాంతములలో దొంగలు బైలుదేరిరి thieves broke out in that neighbourhood. బైలుదేర్చు bailu-dērṭsu. v. a. To bring out, elicit, bring to light, exhibit. బైలుపడు or బైలగు bailu-paḍu. v. n. To fall out, come to light, be disclosed. ఆ మర్మము బైలుపడినది the secret came to light. బైలుపరచు, బయలుపరచు or బైలుపుచ్చు bailu-paraṭsu. v. a. To bring to light, to reveal. బైలువెళ్లు or బయలువెడలు bailu-vellu. v. n. To start. బైళ్లు or బయళ్లు baiḷḷu. n. plu. Plains. బైట or బయట baiṭa. adv. On the outside, on the plain. Out. బైటపడు or బయటపడు baiṭa-paḍu. v. n. To come out, come to light. To become public. బైటపెట్టు or బయటపెట్టు baiṭa-peṭṭu. v. a. To put forward, to reveal, బహిరంగముచేయు, వెల్లడిచేయు. బైటపోవు or బయటికిపోవు baiṭa-pōvu. v. n. To go out. To go to the necessary. బైటఉండు or బయటనుండు baiṭa-unḍu. v. n. To be outside: to be menstruous, (because excluded from the family.) బైటవేయు or బయటవేయు baiṭa-vēyu. v. a. To cast out. To bring to light, to let a secret out. దీన్ని బైటవేస్తే చూడు take care you don't let this be known. బైటి or బయటి baiṭi. adj. Outer, exterior; strange, foreign. బైటిఊళ్లు the circumjacent villages.

(p. 892) buddhi buddhi. n. Intelligence, intellect, understanding, mind, judgement, sense, wisdom, intention, inclination. judgement, advice. ఇప్పుడు బుద్ధివచ్చినది I have been taught a lesson, I am convinced of my fault. పడుచుబుద్ధి a childish whim or notion. బుద్ధిపుట్టించు to suggest an idea. బుద్ధి ఉదయించినది the thought occurred. ఇది నీకు బుద్ధికాదు it is not wise on you part to do so. బుద్ధి (like చిత్తము) is a colloquial reply, equivalent to 'as you please.'బుద్ధిచెప్పు buddhi-cheppu. v. a. To admonish, exhort, advise. To reprimand or chastise. నాకు ఏమి బుద్ధి చెప్పుతారు what would you advise me to do? కొమారునికి బుద్ధిచెప్పినాడు he reprimanded his son. బుద్ధిపూర్వకముగా intentionally, on purpose, advisedly. నేను బుద్ధియెరిగిననాటనుండి as long as I can recollect. బుద్ధియెరిగిన తర్వాత after he grew to be a man. బుద్ధితెచ్చుకొను buddhi-teṭsṭsu-konu. v. n. To come to one's senses or recover one's wits. బుద్ధిమంతుడు buddhi-mantuḍu. n. A sensible person, a wise man. బుద్ధిగలవాడు. బుద్ధిహీనత buddhi-hīnata. n. Stupidity, folly. అవివేకము. బుద్ధిహీనుడు buddhi-hīnuḍu. n. A fool, a man devoid of sense.

(p. 886) bilmaktā bil-maktā. [H.] n. A fixed annual rent, payable in all seasons; a consolidated lease; a fixed quit-rent or revenue assessed at a lower rate than the standard one. బిల్మక్తాగా bilmaktā-gā. adv. By the bulk, in general, మొత్తముగా.

(p. 917) bhayamu bhayamu. [Skt.] n. Fear, fright, terror, alarm. భయంకరము bhayankaramu. adj. Frightful, alarming, terrible. భయదము bhayadamu. adj. Frightful, terrific. భయపడు bhaya-paḍu. v. n. To be afraid. భయపరచు bhaya-paraṭsu. v. a. To frighten, alarm, intimidate. భయపెట్టు bhaya-peṭṭu. v. a. To frighten, alarm. భయస్థుడు bhayasthuḍu. n. A timorous or timid man; one who fears to do evil; a god-fearing man. భయస్థురాలు a timid woman. భయానకము bhay-ānakamu. adj. Fearful, frightful, alarming. భయావహము bhay-āvahamu. adj. Frightful, alarming, terrible. భయోత్పాతము bhay-ōtpātamu. n. A fearful prodigy or phenomenon.

(p. 924) bhuktamu bhuktamu. [Skt.] adj. Eaten, enjoyed, భుజింపబడిన, అనుభవింపబడిన, n. That which is enjoyed, possession. నాభుక్తములోనుండేచేను the field which is in my enjoyment. భుక్తి bhukti. n. Enjoyment, use, possession, అనుభవము. Eating, food, a meal, భోజనము. భుక్తిముక్తి happiness both temporal and eternal, lit: possession (of good) and freedom (from evil.) భుక్తిముక్తియునిచ్చు he will teach you to enjoy good and avoid evil. భుక్తిముక్తిదాయకుడు he who gives sustenance here and happiness hereafter.
