Love, fascination, infatuation, distraction, ignorance, weakness of intellect, loss of consciousness, a swoon. వలపు, అజ్ఞానము, మూర్ఛ. చిత్తవైకల్యము. మోహదృష్టిబేరము buying blind-fold, or without an inquiry into the real value, or on a cursory glance. మోహణము mōhaṇamu. n. A sword-hilt. త్సరువు. కత్తిపడి. 'అలఘమోహణమున హస్తంబుదొడిగి, బళిపించిమొనజూపి నలిరేగియార్చి.' BD. v. 893. మోహనము mōhanamu. n. A swoon, మూర్ఛ. Enamourment, allurement, fascination, the over-powering of reason, వ్యామోహము. An arrow of Cupid's. మన్మథ బాణవిశేషము. adj. Fascinating, stupefying, depriving of sense or of understanding. వ్యామోహకరమైన. మోహనరాయి the stone beam across the top of a temple gate. రాతిదూలము. మోహనము or మోహనపుదుంప mō-hanamu. n. (p. 963) maḷlu or మరలు maḷḷu. [Tel.] v. n. To turn, తిరుగు. మళ్లుముఖముగానున్నది it is on the turn. మళ్లుకొను maḷḷu-konu. v. n. To turn back or return. మళ్లవేసికొను maḷḷa-vēsi-konu. v. a. To turn or stop a thing, as a cat or dog does a rat. దోవలో దొంగలు నన్ను మళ్లవేసుకొన్నారు or అడ్డుకొన్నారు the thieves beset me in the road.

(p. 954) manmathuḍu manmathuḍu. [Skt.] n. Manmadha, the Hindu Cupid, అనంగుడు. మన్మథ manmatha. n. The name of a Telugu year. ఒక సంవత్సరమునకు పేరు. మన్మథబాణాలు the arrows of Love, the name of a particular kind of rice, or flower. 'మన్మథబాణాలు మరునంపుమొలకలు.' H. iv. 155. మన్మథపత్రిక manmatha-patrika. n. A billet doux or love letter.

(p. 946) matamu matamu. [Skt.] n. Opinion. అభిప్రాయము. Wish, idea. A doctrine, creed, sect, religion, శాస్త్రము. Consent, సమ్మతి. త్రిమతములు the three creeds, i.e., the Vaishnava, Madhwa and Smarta creeds. షణ్మతములు the six creeds, viz. వైష్నవము, శైవము, శాక్తము, గాణపతము, సౌరము and కాపాలికము కాదిమతము (in magic) is the mode wherein the alphabet is recited the right way while హోదిమతము is reciting the alphabet backwards, the wrong way, beginning with హ which is the last consonant.
