(p. 1056) yugamu yugamu. [Skt.] n. A pair, couple or brace. ౛త. A measure of length, equal to two yards, బార. A yoke, బండికాడి. An age of the world, or long period of time; as సత్యయుగము the Golden Age: కలియుగము the Iron Age. All time is divided into four ages, named the Kṛita, Trēata, Dvāpara and Kali Ages, corresponding with the Golden, Silver, Brazen and Iron Ages. యుగరీతి the fashion of the day. ఈ కలియుగమునందు in this Iron Age. యుగళము, యుగళి or యుగ్మము yugaḷamu. n. A pair, brace, or couple. ద్వయము. యుగాంతము yug-āntamu. n. The end of the Age or World. ప్రళయకాలము. యుగాది yug-ādi. n. New Year's day. సంవత్సరాది. యుగ్యము yugyamu. n. Any vehicle or conveyance; a yoked animal. వాహనసామాన్యము, కాడిపూనినయెద్దు.

(p. 1068) rahaṭu , రట్టు or రాటు rahaṭu. [Tel.] n. Ravages, mischief, plague, trouble, annoyance. ఉపద్రవము. ఈ యింటిలో ఎలుకల రహటు మెండుగానున్నది in this house rats have made great havoc.

(p. 1081) ruvvu ruvvu. [Tel.] v. a. To fling, throw, toss. విసిరివేయు. 'లతావనితాళిరువ్వు లేమరు వపుబంతులట్ల.' Vasu. iii. 165.

(p. 1070) rā rā. [Tel.] The infinitive of imperative of వచ్చు. See note under రమ్ము. మా యింటికిరా come, to my house. రాదలచినాడు he thought of coming. రాలేను I cannot come. 'దగ్గిర రానెదుర్కొని.' (T. iv. 173.) when he drew near, (she) turned towards him. రాక, రాకడ or రావడము rāka. n. Coming, arrival, approach. వచ్చుట. రాకపోకలు coming and going. రాక. adv. Without coming. రాకపోవు or రాకయుండు rāka-pōvu. v. n. Not to come or arrive. రాకు or రాకుము rāku. v. imp negative. Come not, do not come, రావద్దు. రాబడి rā-baḍi. n. Income, వచ్చుబడి. రాగాపోగా rāgā-pōgā, (lit: coming or going.) adv. In the end, finally, at last one way or another, with one thing or another. రాగాపోగా నిలిచినదియిది after all this is the remainder. రాడు rāḍu. (3d. pers. sing. masc. neg. aorist of వచ్చు.) He will not come, he does not come. రాదు rādu. (3rd. pers. sing. neut) It does not come. It is used as an auxiliary signifying prohibition: కోపపడరాదుగాని చెప్పుతాను you must not be angry but I will tell you. నిరాశకారాదు we should not give up hope. అట్లు చేసినట్టు ఎంచరాదుగాని we must not imagine he has done so, but yet. నేను ఇక్కడ ఉండరాదు. I must not stop here. రాని rāni. (neg. rel. participle of వచ్చు.) Which has not come which shall not come or does not happen. పనికిరాని or అక్కరకురాని useless. చెప్పరానిమాట what is not fit to be said. వచ్చీరానిమాటలు a half formed pronunciation as that of a child beginning to speak. వాడు వచ్చీ రానివానితో౛తే his coming is as useless as if he were absent. చదువురానివాడు one who cannot read, an illiterate man. చదవరానిజాబు an illegible letter, or a letter that should not be read. 'వచనములు రానికడుచిన్న వానినిన్ను' thee, a child unable to speak. Yamunā Charya Charitra. i. 73. రాను rānu. (first person neg. aor. of. వచ్చు.) I will not come or I do not come. Also, a noun neaning coming, as రానుపోను both coming and going, as రానుపోను both coming and going. రానుపోను పదిదినములుపట్టును to go and return will take ten days. రానున్నది that which is to come or to happen. 'రానిదికోరినరాదది రామన్నది కోరకున్న రాకుండదుగా' (Sumati. 137.) what cannot happen though desired: that which will happen though desired: that which will happen though undesired will not fail to come to pass. రాబట్టు rā-baṭṭu. v. a. To receive, receive back, recover, regain. వచ్చినదాన్ని రాబట్టు receive that which is sent to you. రామి rāmi. (negative verbal noun of వచ్చు.) The not coming, non-arrival, రాకపోవడము. plu. రాములు. చేయరామి impracticability. తిప్పరామి the difficulty of turning (it.) కానరామి the not seeing, the impossibility of seeing. 'అక్కచుడు రామినప్పుడు పొక్కుచునీదేవయాన' (Yayati. iii. 126.) grieved at his not coming or at his non-arrival.

'రారానందకుమారక రారానవనీతచోర రారాకృష్నారారారాఝులయేలిక.' అట్లు చేయుము రా come, you must do this? వాణ్ని పిలువురా call him, will you? దానిని తేరా come, bring it here. పోరా come, begone.
