'రాహుత్తులప్పటి రయిడిమాన్పి.' Pal. 74. రాయిడించు rāyiḍ-inṭsu. v. n. To rub together. ఒకటి తోనొకటి ఒరసికొను. To make a noise, to cause a disturbance. ధ్వనిచేయు, సందడి చేయు, అల్లరిచేయు. 'నానాకిరీటవిన్యస్తప్రమాన సౌరభములొండొంటితో రాయిడింప.' Vish. iii. 113. 'తే గీ రవలిమట్టెల మ్రోతలు రాయిడింప.' V. P. v. 13. రాయిడికాడు rāyiḍi-kāḍu. n. A tormentor. ఉపద్రవము చేయువాడు. రాయిడికత్తె ṛāyiḍi-katte. n. A troublesome woman. రాయిడిడిగిడి a kind of drum, డిండిమము.

(p. 1061) rakkasuḍu , రక్కసీడు or రక్కసి rakkasuḍu. [from Skt. రాక్షసుడు.] n. A giant, an evil spirit, demon, fiend. రక్కసము rakkasamu. n. Shrewdness, archness, జాణతనము, రాక్షసితనము, రాక్షసము. రక్కసి, రక్కెస or రక్కసురాలు rakkesi. n. An ogress, giantess, a female fiend. రాక్షసస్త్రీ రక్కెసులగొంగ rakkesula-gonga. n. Vishnu, the foe of the demons, జిత్యారి. రక్కిస or రక్కెస rakkisa. n. The thistle, Cyperus clatus, Rox. i. 204. రక్కిస చమురు oil of thistles, used medicinally. రక్కిసగడ్డి matted grass, spear grass. రక్కెస rakkesa. adj. Improper, ఆయుక్తమైన. రక్కెసమాటలు fiendish or improper language. 'రక్కెసతాల్మి.' భార. ఉద్యో. iii.

(p. 1084) reḍḍigamu reḍḍigamu. [Tel.] n. Sitting on the floor, with one knee up and a cloth round it and round the body in a knot. ఒకకాలు మడుచుకొని దానిని అంగవస్త్రముతో నడుమునకు బిగియగట్టుకొని కూర్చుండుట. రెడ్డి గమువేసికొను to sit in this posture.

(p. 1078) rikthamu rikthamu. [Skt.] n. Wealth, property. ధనము. రిక్థహారి riktha-hāri. n. An heir, one who succeeds to the property of the deceased and gives the funeral cake. దాయాది, పిండప్రదాత.

(p. 1072) rāzu rāḍzu. [Tel.] v. n. To take fire, flame, begin to burn. పొగరా౛ు, ప్రధూమి తమగు. 'దినదినముననక యేవనమున కేగకయున్ననింట పొయిరాజదుగా.' S. iii. 212. unless I go every day to work I cannnot keep the pot boiling.

(p. 1063) razjana raḍzḍzana. [Tel.] n. Self-praise, ఆత్మస్తుతి. ర౛్జు raḍzḍzu. v. n. To be talkative, to prattle, ప్రేలు. n. A boast, వ్యర్థభాషణము. Self praise, ఆత్మస్తుతి. 'కన్నట్లుపలుకనేటికి, నిన్నిచెనటిరజ్జులనికివి తోడ్పడునే.' M. VII. v. 112. 'కల్మషంబులెల్లవాపెద నీరజ్జులేలనీకు.' M. IX. ii. 142. ర౛్జులాడి raḍzḍzul-āḍi. n. A woman who is fond of vain boasting or self praise, వ్యర్థభాషణురాలు, ఆత్మస్తుతిపరురాలు. ర౛్జులాడు raḍzḍzul-āḍu. n. A vain boaster. వట్టిప్రజ్ఞలుపలుకువాడు, వ్యర్థభాషణుడు. A vain-glorious person, ఆత్మస్థుతిపరుడు. 'జామదగ్ని బ్రాహ్మణులశాపంబులు భూపాలురు విన నుగ్గడించెనిక్కలంక యేని రజ్జులానికినర్జునుగుణ విశేషంబు లెరింగించి.' M. VIII. ii. 104.

(p. 1062) ragaḍa ragaḍa. [Tel.] n. A melody. A species of (dithyrambic) verse used in sportive amorous compositions. రగడ in old English was called an Ecstasy. It is called in French verse a descant or tirade.

(p. 1053) yajanamu yajanamu. [Skt. from యజ్ to sacrifice.] n. An offering or sacrifice. యజ్ఞము. Vish. v. 363. యజించు yajinṭsu. v. n. To perform or offer a sacrifice. యజ్ఞముచేయు. v. a. To worship, అర్చించు. యజమానుడు or యజమాని yaja-mānuḍu. n. One who offers a sacrifice, a sacrificer, యజ్ఞకర్త. A lord, a master, ప్రభువు. An owner or proprietor, సొంతగాడు. A husband, గృహస్థుడు. An employer of priests at a sacrifice; the person who institutes its performance and pays the expense, ఋత్విగాదినియంతృకయజ్ఞకర్త గ్రామయజమానులు the headmen of a village. యజమానురాలు yaja-mānu-r-ālu. n. A wife; a lady, good woman, or mistress of a family. యజమానత్వము or యాజమాన్యము yaja-mānatvamu. n. Mastership, lordship, dominion, ఆధిపత్యము. యజుర్వేదము or యజుస్సు yajur-vēdamu. n. The name of one of the four Vedas. యజ్ఞము yagnyamu. n. The rite of offering a sacrifice; a sacrifice or offering. The sacrifice in which a goat is smothered and the inside fat is dressed and eaten by Brahmins. (The person who celebrates this sacrifice assumes the honorary title of సోమయాజులు.) యజ్ఞసూత్రము or యజ్ఞోసవీతము yagnya-sūtramu. n. The sacred thread, worn by the three principal classes of the Hindus. ౛ందెము. యజ్వ or యజ్వుడు yajva. n. A sacrificer in due form, agreeably to the Vedas. విధ్యుక్తముగా యజ్ఞముచేయువాడు.
