(p. 1053) yajanamu yajanamu. [Skt. from యజ్ to sacrifice.] n. An offering or sacrifice. యజ్ఞము. Vish. v. 363. యజించు yajinṭsu. v. n. To perform or offer a sacrifice. యజ్ఞముచేయు. v. a. To worship, అర్చించు. యజమానుడు or యజమాని yaja-mānuḍu. n. One who offers a sacrifice, a sacrificer, యజ్ఞకర్త. A lord, a master, ప్రభువు. An owner or proprietor, సొంతగాడు. A husband, గృహస్థుడు. An employer of priests at a sacrifice; the person who institutes its performance and pays the expense, ఋత్విగాదినియంతృకయజ్ఞకర్త గ్రామయజమానులు the headmen of a village. యజమానురాలు yaja-mānu-r-ālu. n. A wife; a lady, good woman, or mistress of a family. యజమానత్వము or యాజమాన్యము yaja-mānatvamu. n. Mastership, lordship, dominion, ఆధిపత్యము. యజుర్వేదము or యజుస్సు yajur-vēdamu. n. (p. 1056) yuktamu yuktamu. [Skt.] adj. Joined, combined, united, కూడుకొనిన. Right, fit, proper, ఉచితమైన, న్యాయమైన. యుక్తమైనమనిషి a proper person. n. Fitness, propriety, justice. ఉచితము. న్యాయము. దాన్ని నీవు చెల్లిస్తే యుక్తము it will be better for you to pay the money. నీవు యుక్తాయుక్తము విచారింపవలసినది you must look on both sides of the question. యుక్తపడు yukta-paḍu. v. n. To fit or suit. అనుకూలపడు. యుక్తి yukti. n. Union, కూడిక. Wit; a contrivance, expedient, stratagem, artifice; a plot, a happy thought. ఉపాయము, యోచన. యుక్తుడు yuktuḍu. An affix meaning. Accompanied by, possessed of, characterised by. కూడుకొన్నవాడు. భార్యాయుక్తుడై being accompanied by his wife. పాపయుక్తులు sinners. దోషయుక్తురాలు she who is sinful, a sinner.
