A finite verb. అసమాపకక్రియ an incomplete verbal form which cannot finish a sentence. సమాపనము samāpanamu. n. Finishing, completing. Killing, destroying, ముగించుట, చంపడము, సమాప్తము sam-āptamu. adj. Finished, completed, ముగిసిన. సమాప్తమగు or సమాప్తియగు sam-āptam-agu. v. n. To become finished or completed. ముగింపబడు. సమాప్తి sam-āpti. n. The end, completion, close, conclusion, finis. ముగింపు. Death, చావు. సమాప్తించు or సమాప్తిచేయు sam-āplinṭsu. v. a. To finish, end, close, conclude, ముగించు. సమాన్యము sam-āpyamu. adj. That which is fit to be ended, terminable, ముగింపదగిన.

(p. 1269) saṅkāśamu san-kāṣanu. [Skt.] adj. Like, similar. సమానమైన, సదృశమైన. Near, సమీపమైన. సంకాశుడు san-kāṣuḍu. n. (In composition,) one who is like or similar to, సదృశుడు. సూర్యసంకాశుడు he who is like the sun.

To cause to meet, to bring together, join, unite. కలుపు, చేర్చు, కూర్చు. సంధించు or సంధిల్లు. v. n. To be joined to or united with, కూడు. సంధితము sandhitamu. adj. Joined, united, connected, bound, చేర్చబడిన, కూర్చబడిన కట్టబడిన. సంధిత్స sandhitsa. n. The desire of joining, an inclination to unite. చేర్చవలెననేయిచ్ఛ. సంధిలు or సంధిల్లు sandhilu. v. n. To happen, occur; to meet. ప్రాప్తమగు, ఎదురుపడు, కలుగు, వచ్చు. 'భక్తిగౌరవము విశ్వాసంబు సంధిల్లగా.' T. ii. 55. 'అచలాత్మజమాటకు లేత నవ్వు సంధిల్ల.' Swa. pref. 2. సంధుడు or సంధురాలు sandhuḍu. n. One who is united with. These words are used in compounds; thus సత్యసంధుడు, సత్యసంధురాలు. a truthful or veracious man or woman.

(p. 1277) sandu or సంది sandu. [from Skt. సంధి.] n. A small opening, a fissure, crack, hole, బొత్త, చిల్లి, బీటిక. Space, an interval. ఎడము, మధ్యప్రదేశము, మధ్యకాలము. A lane, a narrow street, చిన్నవీధి, గల్లీ. A nook, corner, మూల. A backyard, పెరడు. A period of time, an opportunity, సమయము, సందర్బము. A direction or quarter. చంకసందు the armpit. వేళ్లసందు the space between two fingers. ఇక్కడ సందు విడువు leave a space here. సందిచ్చు to give room or opportunity. వాడు ఎవరికిని సందియ్యకుండా మాట్లాడుతాడు he will let nobody else get a word in, he gives no one an opportunity of speaking. వారిద్దరిసందున వీడు నలిగిపోవుచున్నాడు between the two this man is ruined. సందులు గొందులంతా వెతికినాడు he hunted in every hole and corner. సందుచూచి లోగా చొరబడినాడు he took an opportunity and rushed in సందువాకిలి the back-door, పెరటిగుమ్మము. సందుముట్టు menses occurring at intervals, that is, at irregular periods. 'నేటికి నబ్బెసందు.' T. iii. 87. అనగా నేడు సమయము చిక్కెను. సందిక్రంతజగడములు petty disputes, అల్పమైనజగడములు. సందుకట్టు sandukaṭṭu. n. An interval, మధ్యకాలము. గ్రహణపు సందుకట్టు the time that an eclipse lasts. అమావాస్య సందుకట్టు the period of new moon. నేను పోయి వీడు వచ్చే సందుకట్టులో in the interval between my going and his coming. సందుకొను sandu-konu. v. n. To take or seize an opportunity, సమయము చూచుకొను. To extend spread, వ్యాపించు. v. a. To unite with, కూడు. To be joined to, to marry, పరిగ్రహించు. సందుకొట్టు or సందుతగులు sandu-koṭṭu. v. n. To be injured by a ghost. సందుదోషము sandu-dōshamu. n. Demoniac possession. బిడ్డలకు మాససంధియందు కలుగు బాలగ్రహదోషము. ఆ బిడ్డకు సందుదోషము తగిలినది, సందుకొట్టినది or సందుతగిలినది the child is fairy-struck or injured by a ghost that haunts a particular spot. సందుసీసము sandusīsamu. n. A certain feat in wrestling.

(p. 1305) samyak or సమ్యక్కు samyak. [Skt.] adv. All, wholly, properly, duly, fitly. యావత్తు, యుక్తముగా, చక్కగా.

(p. 1272) saṅgōru san-gōru. [Skt. సగము+Tel. కోరు.] n. A half-share. అర్థభాగము. Half of the gross produce of a crop. సంగోరుపాలు usually means the government share of a crop.
