Original, principal, excellent, real, genuine, legitimate. మొదటిదైన, ముఖ్యమైన, స్వచ్ఛమైన, సంకరముకాని. అసలుదావా the original complaint. అసలు వాది the original complainant. అసలు బేరీజు the original rents or account. అసలు n. The principal, as opposed to the interest మూలధనము Plu. అసళ్లు originals. అసళ్లు ఉంచుకొని నకళ్లు ఇచ్చినాడు he retained the originals and gave the copies. Also, origin, stock in trade.

(p. 373) guccu or గ్రుచ్చు guṭsṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To pierce or prick. To thread, string together. పూసలుగుచ్చు to string beads. తాడు గుచ్చినాడు he ran the thread through, or inserted it. చేతులుగుచ్చు to join hand in hand, one's fingers being laced between those of his friend. కాగిటగ్రుచ్చె he embraced her. గుచ్చుకొను guṭsṭsu-konu. v. n. To enter, penetrate, pierce. కాలికి ముల్లుగుచ్చుకొనినది a thorn pierced the foot. గుచ్చుకపోయినకండ్లు sunken eyes. కండ్లు గుచ్చుకొనిపోతవి I cannot keep my eyes open.

(p. 382) gusagusa gusa-gusa. [Tel.] n. A whisper. గుసగుసలాడు or గుసగుసలుపోవు to whisper.

(p. 386) goṇḍili or గొండ్లి gonḍili. [Tel.] n. Acting, dancing, gambols, sport. నర్తవము. An actress. నర్తకి. A toss, a fling. గొండ్లిపరచు to toss or fling an attitude in dancing, the actress bending back till she rests on her hands. క్రీడింపచేయు. 'సీ జలదేవతాహస్త చామరానిలములు, కుటులాలకములకు గొండ్లి గరప.' కాశీ. V. 66. గొండ్లి సలుపు gonḍli-salupu. v. n. To sport, to dance on all fours bending backwards, to indulge in indecent gambols.

(p. 616) drapsamu drapsamu. [Skt.] n. A drop of water. నీటిబొట్టు. 'బలవిస్వరంబుల బనసలు కొన్ని జెలగి ద్రప్సలుమీదజిలుకజెప్పుచును.' HD. ii. 815. అతడు నాకు ఒక ద్రప్సమున్ను ఇయ్యలేదు he did not give me even a drop of water.

(p. 669) nīvi nīvi. [Skt.] n. A zone, or cestus, a belt. The knot (of a peculiar kind) which keeps up a Hindu woman's garment. పోకముడి. Swa. ii. 73. Capital, principal, stock. A stake or wager, మొదటిసొమ్ము, అసలుసొమ్ము, పందెముకట్టినద్రవ్యము. నీవివనము a park or garden around a house. చుట్టూరునుండుతోట.

(p. 723) palaka palaka. [Tel.] Any flat surface of face. స్తంభము. మొదలైనవాని యొక్క ఒకవైపు. ఎనిమిదిపలకలకంబము an eight sided pillar. A plank, board, table, బల్ల. A board used as a slate in schools. A writing tablet, వ్రాయుపలక. A slab or flat stone. One side of any polygon, as of a lantern. A gambling table. ౛ూదమాడుబల్ల. The bar of wood in a loom that strikes the weft close after the shuttle has passed. A tom-tom. A shield, డాలు. 'ఆనిశిత భల్లములు తన మేనికిరాకుండ బలకమెరయ ౛డిరుండు భీముండుతృంచె మదంబారగ వాలునుంబలకయున్ శీఘ్రసందీప్తుడే.' M. IX. i. 154 'బలదుర్వారుండు భీముండుతృంచె మదంబారగవాలునుంబలకయు.' ib. A sigh, నిట్టూర్పు. వాని ఒళ్లు బుసబుసలాడుచున్నది he is puffed up and strenthless. బుసకొట్టు or బుసలుకొట్టు to breathe, hiss, or puff audibly as a cobra does, or as an elephant does with its trunk, పుత్కారముచేయు. To sigh, నిట్టూర్చు. బుసబుస busa-busa. n. A bubbling sound, as of boiling water. Ebullition. బుసబుసలాడు busa-busa-l-āḍu. v. n. To boil, to hiss, బుసపెట్టు.
